New Post-op Tip of The Day

We have a whole lot of newbies and that is a great feeling. Don't forget to get your water, protein and vitamins in everyday.

Today's tip is to take it slow. Some people go through surgery and never have any pain and want to go back to work in a week. Other people have surgery and have lots of pain and can barely walk and need every bit of their 6 week leave. Listen to your body and remember that you just had your intestines rearranged and your stomach cut and stapled, of course this depends on what surgery you had. You may be feeling fine on the outside but your body has gone through a traumatic experience. Take this time to baby your body. While your new baby tummy is healing, eat like a baby and even use baby utensils. Take it one baby step, one sip at a time. Also just like babies, add different foods back to your diet a little at a time according to your NUT.

We have been given a new lease on life so lets do this in baby steps.
