Can YOU take a physical compliment?
Hi IceMama,
I am still a fat girl (5 weeks post op), but I've always drawn very positive attention from the opposite sex because of my figure (extremely curvy, tiny waist, big butt). But when I get the compliments, I process them as if someone said I like your shoes, I say Thank you and keep it moving. You will get used to the compliments, but the key is to not over process it in your mind. You are not a fraud, you've earned (and paid for) that body!

I can appreciate you saying that. I mean I got the attention for the boobs and the smile,.. but this one is brand new for me the nice body compliments and now some people are saying they could never see being fat. My son's dentist said she does not even remember me being over weight. I have only being going there for 6 years,..LOL! come on!
To be honest its been over three years post op for me So I have been getting more attention and compliments for over three years. The only difference now is my body is not only smaller but its getting toned and more muscular so it looks different than before. Therefore the compliments are more body focused and I tend to try and accentuate the positive A LOT and whats not there well lets just say you can pad anathing,..LOL
But I do here you, I have a date Thursday & Friday two different guys I am going to try and process it like shoes and not play that broken record in my head. I am going to try this and see if I can honestly do it,...
I'll update you in a week or so,... I hope it works!

i am only 5 months out but down from a 24 to a 12 and have really been turning heads and it's really uncomfortable for me 2 deal with. i enjoy it but just don't know how 2 handle it. and, the ladies too have changed in their attitude 2 me. i never really realized how "stank" women could be 2 each other.
i'm working hard 2 learn 2 enjoy it and just reli****
but it is hard work 2 just enjoy the attn.
maybe that will come in time.

Well I will say this I have lost a few female friends but my guy friends have all remained. Sometimes they would have to step back and get used to the new me especially if I am wearing my two favorite colors: SHORT and TIGHT,.. but they shake it off and keep rollin.
The women, well its just jealousy and the fact that it is not ALL about them anymore they can not handle you and the attention you are recieving and how you are handling it. IF they are true friends they will be back!!
As far as getting used to the compliments when you do get used to them, come back and tell me how you did it!
