Well...I picked up my 3 month old HP Laptop from the repair shop. It seems my motherboard has gone bad.  Now since Circuit City went belly up....I can't return it...which would have been my normal option.  Now I have to file a repair order with HP....ship my computer there for a warranty repair.  This may take up to two weeks....which will leave me computerless during that time. Being without my computer will be like being without my cell...just can't function properly...So if I am missing in action you all know why.  Using my mom's computer right now to pay a few bills and post this message.  She will be back soon...and we are all very possessive of our computers...afraid others will download viruses and shiott....so catch y'all on the rebound.

ETA:  Of course, I'll be checking in from work....but outside of 9-5...I am out of commission.

ETA:  Sorry I neglected the real point of this post. Warning...do not purchase HP Pavillion Dv7-1130us computer.  I had to return the original one...and this one (the replacement) has the same problem occur. The technician told me that HP is having design issues right now and that they are seeing a lot of the newer HP computers a lot lately.  I would stay clear of HP for now.

Gurl I am so glad to hear it..believe me its no fun..I have actually only purchased HP up to now (they do get the best reviews) because I love the Entertainment Notebook PCs....however...I purchased the original laptop from Circuit City about 7 months ago....it started to Blue Screen....so went back and demanded an exchange because I had a short turn around on a project.  I replaced it a little over 3 months ago before Circuit City went out of business and the same darn thing happened.  Burn me once....foo on you....burn me twice foo on me. My next one will not be HP....probably a Toshiba. I am a little gun shy now when it comes to HP.

In my opinion,  I think a lot of the issues stem from Windows Vista....I did not have nearly as many problems with other versions of windows.

Wow...great news to share...I have a 3-year old HP Pavilion dv5120us Notebook and other than the pesky viruses that I encountered, have had no issues with it.

Also, for thoes of you looking for virus protection - I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE NORTON 360 package - for $79.99...it has done an awesome job of protecting my notebook.  You can download a free 30-day trial before purchasing.
