Soooo frustrated!!!
I've read all of the posts on weight loss stalls that I can handle... so why doesn't it make me feel any better about mine? I haven't lost weight in over 4 weeks and I had my RNY on 3/9/09. I exercise (OK, not 5x a week, but at least 3), I eat my protien, I drink my water.... Can I be the one for whom this thing doesn't work???
Step into my office......
1 - what are you eating on a daily basis - give me an example of a daily menu
2 - what exercise are you doing and how frequently?
3 - how much water are you drinking, and what vitamins are you taking?
How much did you weigh to start out, and how much have you lost since surgery?
Answer those - and I can give you a little feedback that might help - lots of factors play into the WLS.

Here's what I ate yesterday:
Breakfast - protein shake
Lunch - Tuna Salad w/ protein pretzels
Dinner - grilled shrimp & green salad
All meals I measured and they were 4 oz.
2 - what exercise are you doing and how frequently?
Body Pump class at local gym 3 x per week (I'm regular with this)
walking about 2 miles on the off days (not as regularly as I should)
3 - how much water are you drinking, and what vitamins are you taking?
Water intake = 40 - 80oz per day
I take a pre-natal multi vitamin, B12 supplement & biotin
How much did you weigh to start out, and how much have you lost since surgery?
Official starting weight = 325
Weight this morning = 293
Weight loss = 32 lbs
Lost 15 the first week, 5 the 2nd week, then the rest in the 2 weeks following...
Thanks for your help!
Not sure how much protein is in your shakes - but I'd venture to say you need to add one more meal to your day. Looks like you're getting good physical activity - so adding another protein 'punch' for the day should help you - not sure if you have tried canned chicken, but a little chicken salad or something like that, maybe cheese would be helpful - adding 100 to 200 more calories will feed your body - it's in a bit of starvation mode - you're eating considerably less than your pre-op 325 body - your system is thinking it needs to warehouse energy to keep you going.
Always take a look at your eating every four to six weeks, you will need to add or take away things to keep your system 'running off balance'.
Good luck to you - and don't be a stranger!!!

I'll add another small meal and see what happens. Wish I could say I was feeling encouraged, but it just makes no sense to me that I'm eatin 1/10 of what I used to and I'm still not losing weight. Somehow, my brain can't grasp that.
I'll be sure to let you know how it turns out!
Thanks again for your help.

What if your employer immediately started only paying you 1/10 of what you make now? If you couldn't find another job or do something different - what would you do? SAVE where you could, right? start cutting back on spending, etc..
Your body is doing the same thing - so you have to let it know you did not move to Ethiopia or turn into a Ghandi fanatic.... LOL!!!!
