and that's how we get endangerment charges.   anybody feel a way about making the kids get out and walk beside the car and making them do the low speed chase?

Honestly, my first reaction was

I'm not saying it was right, but I can totally understand her getting to a place where she just snapped after being trapped in a car with bickering brats that just wouldn't shut up.

I am glad that neither child was hurt.

The way I envision it, the 12 year old RAN off and left her because she didn't want to get left behind herself.  Plus, she was probably still mad at her because they had just been arguing.  Then again, she might have panicked and forgot all about her sister.  She might have thought their mother was going to go back and get her.
Who knows?

But I'll bet the next time Mom says "Shut up" she get any back talk.

Okay I am speaking just because I know and live realtively close to the area where the kids were dropped off. White Plains NY is not a dangerous place, in fact its a shopping district where people are always around making it hard for people to snatch children without being noticed. There is lots of public transportation..buses, trains, cabs. Also, the girl was 10 years old, I have 8 year olds getting on buses going home afterschool (is that child endangerment..no) With that said, I do not think the mother was wrong. They were prob 2 unruley children who had been warned and threatened about this many of times. Well it was about time momma followed through on her threat. Clearly her children aint displined enough cause had that been me I woulda got my ass on the next bus home (cause every NY child that lives near public transportation knows how to get home if "anything" were to happen) not spoken to sum stranger, that crap would surely get me a syllable spanking when this event would blow over. What if talkin to them got her butt abducted. But I bet you one thing, if those kids get put in the system even for a couple of days, they will NEVER disrespect momma again and will know not to take her threats litely.

Oh and please. I am sure those of you older than me has been put through acts far worse and more endagering from yall parents. I know I have. One example...don't come home past curfew. Either I would be locked out my house (only had keys to storm door and bottom lock) with a bag of clothes packed waiting on the porch with a note that said go back to where you came from unless your ready to follow my rules. Or momma was sittin on the bottom step on the iside stairs ready to beat my ass with the first thing her hand caught, and one time that was one of her high heeled sunday shoes. I learned quick that curfew was curfew and not to test the waters of Ya dig!

off the school bus and home by themselves, yeah gurl, it is.

what our parents did (and i was home alone at 9 too) WAS child endangerment.  put it like this you wouldn't leave anybody under 10 to babysit ANOTHER child so to babysit themselves.  nuh uh.  my parents were fortunate that nothing happened but envision how your child would react to a fire or an attempted break-in.  don't nobody under 10 necessarily have the judgement it takes to do everything it takes to save themselves in an emergency.  that 10 year old was picked up by a samaritan, had that been a pedophile that idiot would be burying her child today ovah some bullshyt.   p.s. where are ya'll that it takes 15 minutes to drive around the block?  now i'm mad all over again.
