Morning Yall

Week 2 run 1 was a freaking breeze, I swear it was the fastest 45 min I have felt in this running routine, but the music was so dam boring I thought I would fall on the ground and go to sleep.

My left knee which I sprang a freaking gin.  lol  hurt for the first half of the run but then I was able to phase the pain out of my head and keep going and ended the run in barely any pain.

Couch 2 5K people,  How yall doing?  I know some of you are getting near the end of the program and possibly are on week 8 which is so great.  Keep going and join me in the 8K world.  It's so totally easy so far.  Now watch next week it kicks my butt  lol.

Anyway my run is done and i'm feeling pretty good.  I'll do some push ups and pull ups when I get in from the library.

Keep up the great work Lee. You are so motivating. Yesterday I began week 7, day 1 of the couch to 5k. I usually run on my treadmil but started in the park on yesterday. I did more than the recommended 25 minutes since I needed to complete the loop. The wind was kicking and I was running straight into it. I completed it without any problems. I cant wait to begin e the couch to 10k.

Great Job Heavenlydelight

Week 7 you will be done in no time.   How do you feel going from the treadmill to outside?  To me running outside is a lot harder on my knees but I run faster outside.   I think it's harder outside also but I like the feeling of doing it outside.

Congrats on starting week 7,  YOU ROCK

Hey Lee,

I allways read your post about the couch to 5k, just curious is there a website where I can read about this?   I have never ran a day in my life and I am SCARED............  By the way, you are very motivating and you look great!!!

Well Lee, I made it through the week like you said I would. My left knee is all jacked up but I won't let it stop me. I think I'm going to re-start week 1 today. What do you think? Should I move on to week 2?

Oh, guess what??? The scale moved today!! I've been at a stall for 3 weeks and finally....................I'm down 5lbs in one week. I know it has to do with the running.
When nothing else could help................LOVE lifted me!!!!

Congrats on Week 1 Talisha

I don't think you should do week 1 again,  YOU DID IT!  already,  move on to week 2,  the runs are 90 seconds and you can toatally do it cause you just did 60 and it's only 30 more seconds, don't stall yourself out by doing the same weeks over.

But listen to your knee, i'm the crazy type that will run past the pain,  if you feel like you can't do it then do what is best for you.

I am very proud of you for completing week one,  I knew you could do it.   The scale going down is a nice plus.

Hey Lee!  I am happy to report that  I started today.  I am officially on week 1 of the couch to 5K!  Yipee...

NOW, I have to say that those were the longest 60 second "jogs" of my life...  I was oh so happy for the 90 second brisk walk.  I am certain it gets better and maybe a little easier...

I do feel good however and look foward to my next session.  I will do MW&F...  I'll keep you posted.

By the way, the girls voice wasn't so bad as time went on.....

Thanks again for ALL your help and information...

CONGRATULATIONS ON STARTING !!!

The 60 seconds are very long but they will feel shorter as time goes on and you will be running farther and faster before you know it.

Just know that I had a really hard time with those 60 seconds the first time too and so you know if I can do it you can do it also.

Hey lady I am still in the game.  This past weekend was my last weekend of travelling..thank God!  I got in 2-28 minute runs last week, time got away from me and I didnt get in a third.  But I think my body can only handle so much running.  Anyway I start week 9 tomorrow...YEAH!!!

I need to listen to the podcasts. I wont be able to make it if the music is crap.  Wonder if I could put together my own play list?  Something to think about.   Will check in with you tomorrow.
