YALL I NEED HELP
ATL STAND UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SEIZE THE MOMENT!! LIGHTS , CAMERA , ACTION
125 TOTAL LOST
You can do this, it will get easier but on the real, I'm over a year out and still think about food. Eventually you will get to the point where you can eat some "normal" things but that won't be for a while. Take this time to take care of you and try not to put yourself in situations where the temptations will overwhelm you.

WHAT IN THE HELL ARE YOU DOING OUT SO SOON AFTER SURGERY??????? At the movies, are you SERIOUS???
dude - you soooo need to keep your ass at the HOUSE and CHILL!!!!! besides getting up to WALK AROUND, you need to be in a chair or bed!!! Geez man - and focus ONLY on what goes into YOUR body right now - no need to go out to places that will purposefully tempt you! I was house bound for my first three weeks just getting to learn the new me.
I suggest you work on the new you and the new routine you need to follow before you start figuring out movie snacks and buffalo wings - you setting yourself up if all you're going to do is visit food places and things that remind you of your old habits.
As for replacements - try the PARK......the LIBRARY.......hell - a BOOKSTORE, CRAFT SHOP - anything WITHOUT food!!!!
you're going to get the Mack Newbie backhanded slap if you don't go sitdownsomewhere!!!!!
I don't just have issues, I have subscriptions! I'm saving on the newsstand price.......

I didn't do this and I felt so foolish asking the waitress at Charlie Brown's (my first restaurant post-WLS) did they have a lite menu or any WLS suggested "specials?"

I went to the movies today too ( Obsessed was dayum good

I had a Gala apple,
navel orange,
1 oz of flax seed chips,
a pepper jack cheesestick
and a La Yogurt. I wont even playing........

My daughter even treated me to a bottle of Poland Spring water......there's benefits to having an older child with a job.

As you get further out, you will find ways to get creative to still get your munch on without violating the rules of your procedure. It just takes some time getting used to it man, but you will get there

In life, and especially on this journey there are sure to be days when you falter and give in.......just remember to never give up.
Hey, I'll be 4 weeks out tomorrow and for the first 2 weeks all I could do was rest....the thought of eating or either smelling food disgusted me.
Anyway, yesterday I went out to dinner with my family and they chose a mexican restaurant, I ordered the refried beans w/cheese...although I would have loved to have one of my old favorite dishes, we were so immersed in conversation that the food wasn't even that big of a deal.
Now I am eating some old favorites like tuna, chili and although they are unrecognizable (pureed), they taste really good. Today I had the turkey rounds out of a lunchable snack, so eventually you will get back to some real food. BUT for now GET YOUR REST and your liquids in! I'm am still not 100%. It takes time. The best to you.

I am so glad to see you up and about but I agree with what others are saying you really need to take it easy. You most definitely don’t want to end upon in the hospital for a hernia or some other medical complication because of the stress that you are putting on the body. Your body has gone through a very traumatic experience…please don’t forget it.
Now as far as putting yourself in tempting situations…. I suggest you put the knife down and BACK AWAY FROM THE CHICKEN....LOL! Seriously, you most definitely will regret eating anything other than what your doctor has ordered for you now. Believe me your body has changed…but you will soon find out for the better. Once you start seeing those pounds drop, you will get the added motivation needed to stay away from people, places and things that trigger your previous eating habits. Remember your body has changed but your mind is still the same right now. (The Mental).
Start focusing on ways to change your thinking about food. Mack Mama gave you a few suggestions …think about other ways that you can have fun that don’t necessarily involve food…or as others suggested.....take a safety net of allowed food. When you start to miss the food, binging etc…man up and write a letter to your junk food and overeating to tell it how you really feel about it…about how it negatively impacted your health, relationships and state of mind. It so important to keep this fresh in your mind…these are the reasons you had the surgery in the first place.
As far as being a PRISONER in your own body…. think about that for a moment. I would say you have been more a prisoner preWLS. Your health and obesity have kept you from doing so many things that you could be enjoying. I say that you will soon experience a FREEDOM that you have never felt before. Give it time.
Keep the faith brother....it will be better soon...now...I hope you have your azz in
