hey eerbody

i have been going to the gym for at least 3 days a week(more like 5) for like a month, and have been working out in general since i was about 3 months out.... i am almost 8 months post op, and i have been dealing with weight fluctuations and eating habits(i be snackin yall, pray for me)

but i am noticing some results from working out.... i am heavy on strength training, and muslces are popping out of places i forgot i had! but theres no weight loss going on. like for instance i see my arms getting bigger and more defined... but they aint shrinking.... and my legs are getting cuts in em.... but they aint no little legs! what im trying to say is, am i filling the space where the fat was with muscle? annnnnd should i be afraid of having big man arms and man legs? LOL sounds crazy

and how do i stem the tide a lil and start losing again?

That's really GREAT! Muscle weighs more than fat and looks even better!!!  Give yourself a pat on the back....and keep on

I hear what you're saying about muscle but I don't want the bulky muscles anymore.  I thought with WLS I would be leaner but I am getting more muscle toned but I don't think I want that.  I want to be slimmer/leaner.

I don't know if I'm explaining this right.

i know what you mean.... i think also cuz we have such a protein heavy diet(which helps repair muscle) we get ripped faster because our muscles are repairig faster.... its just a conclusion i made....

I love bulky muscles on a man...I need to feel safe, protected....a slim, leaner man with a gun still is no match for me then a bulky man with a gun LOL

See that's just it.  I've got a black belt in karate and the big muscles tend to keep me from being much faster than I know I can be.  The gun I have is just for protection while get my sleep on.

I'm pretty new at this but I was told not to do any lifting etc. too early out; to lose the weight I was told to do cardio only then once at your desired weight then lifting and go for muscle definition.
When nothing else could help................LOVE lifted me!!!!

Everyone is different, but YES cardio to lose weight; however, adding cross-training is like AWESOME ~so said the girl who never works out anymore~

Hey lady!  check out this article:

www.nutrawize.com/muscle_women.htm

So - unless you are pulling a Barry Bonds - you have nothing to worry about - I doubt you are doing a competition type workout routine - so pump away on the iron!  It will continue to help sculpt your body shape, give you energy and extra muslce burns extra fat.

To help you out - I suggest you take your body measurements and chart them over time.  This will give you a better idea of the changes in your body.
