Interracial Relationships

Uuummm, so are YOU gonna start the post about why it's easier to date outside of your race, or do you want ME to do it?? LOL

Honestly I think it's because for a lot of black women, we see our choices as limited.  i know a whole lot of black women who will only  date black men, excluding those with a hispanic or carribean back ground.  That right their narrowed their prospects.  Now throw into that mix, those who are married or in a relationship, in jail, dead, deadbeats, unemployed, undereducated, thuggin, women abusers, down lowers, so forth and so on, the prospective dating pool looks more like a small pot hole on a raggedy street after a rainy day. 

You take away someone's prospects you get everything you mentioned in your post.  It's hard to be happy for someone else when all you see is your own misery and all your hope is dwindling rapidly.

I just hate to see a black Men with a women who is real trashy and dirty looking thats including white,black,hispanic, asian and whatever else.

I tend to see that a lot especially if that mean looks nothing like what he is dating.

I dont mind inter racial dating but I mind it when a black men tells me (guy i work with) black women aint got shi* on white women and they are more loving with good heads on their shoulders... Now that ****** me off!

I have received many stares glares and harsh words from black men when I am out with Michael so.....and white women too for that matter. 

I met several men and he is the one that approached me with respect, he is the one that has been with me through thick and thin, he is the one that loves me for me and nothing else, he is my Big Sexy and his race means nothing to me!

Hi Anewme....I did have to say that race is not an issue for me personally. I say to each his or her own.  Everybody needs to find love...should not matter the color.

I do need to add that your Avatar has me cracking up whenever I see your posts...because when I read them I hear Madea's voice in my head .  Thanks for posting...This was good and very thought provoking as evidenced by the thread.  

Good! I see so much of myself in Madea - isn't THAT scarey??!?!?!?   There's a little bit of her in each of us, no matter what race we are.  She's the BOMB-Diggity!!!

What's the old Chris Rock joke?  Whoever you have a problem with will end up in your family...  You will have to work that stuff out one way or another. 

I don't care who dates whom because I don't have to live with them.  Now I do have an issue with people who date interracially and then hate on their own race.  I don't care what color you are but if you hate your own people something is wrong.  I work with a black guy who hates black women with a passion and makes a point of passing his poison to his preferred race of people. 

Here another take on black women limitiing their choices.  I read a survey on interracial dating that was detailed about perceptions.  It said that a majority of black women believe that men of other races do not find them attractive hence the reason for many who might be willing to date interracially might not consider it.  Makes sense... why put someone on the list if you think they don't want you?  In the same token men of other races were asked the same question and they said that they thought black women might find them unattractive so they don't approach them. 

I agree that if you don't respect yourself, you draw those kind of people toward you.  I've been thru the fire with men, black  & white men. Differences yet more similarities than I thought. 

I also agree w/the "trashy" woman thing. I mentioned a few weeks ago that it bugs me when I see ANY woman that doesn't care about herself - that's what I look at - or when the chirren have fuzzed up, nappy, messed up hair.  AT LEAST have your little kids lookin tight!  Lawd have mercy!

My husband is a strong, handsome, succulant, delicious BROTHA with a strong head on his shoulders, a great work ethic, sexy as HELL and is a wonderful father and husband.  Thank you JESUS!!!   When I started eating right & working out, he told me not to get too far down (my goal is 195).  I said why not?  He said, Cuz who'd you be with?!?!?  (((((Well, I guess he told me))))  LOVE THIS MAN OF MINE!!!

I USED TO compare myself to others, that was the beginning of my downfall.  FINALLY realized that God made me how I am - big boobs and all.  Now don't think that I'm not working on these girls here, but in the "meantime", I'm thankin God for how He chose to create me, I'm the one who took his paintbrush & started addin layers to the canvas.

this topid is something i feel very strongly about.... in short i say i truly dont mind who a person dates/ marries... i like to see happy loving couples...

... sometimes i still roll my eyes when i see a brotha with a white woman... especially if he looks like he is well off financially....

BECAUSE many black men have used the excuse of dating white women because BLACK women drove them into the arms of the other because they are negative, angry, bossy, cold, unloving, not as sexually adventerous, overbearing, ghetto, overweight(yes i have hear black men say they cant get with sistas cuz they too fat)... and the list goes on....

so in the back of my mind i question black men's motives when he;s with a white woman.... then it goes away.

Also i am one of the few apparently who goes googoo gaga over Asian men(including indians and pakistanis)..... but they dont seem to wana take a walk to the 'dark" side LOL
