My daughter is 16 and Im very concerned about her weight.

She's good right now....about 5'6 and approximately 165.  She wears a size 11 and has a body I can only dream of......but I also know that birth control is just around the corner and that she still has college,  marriage and my grandchildren to birth.....all within the next 10-12 yrs or so.

I try to make her more conscientious about what she puts in her mouth, but she gets defensive about it reminding me that Im the one obsessed with MY weight.

I showed her how to even use the computer to track her food but she blew me off.

We go to the gym from time to time together,  but I be working out for real and she works out for play.    Starts aimlessly walking around the gym like she's ready to go.  I dont pay that NO mind either cause Im on a mission.

I dont know what more to do...my whole family has had weight issues...and I dont want that for her.  She is really beautiful and I know first hand what the affects or is it effects can do not only to our bodies but our self esteeem.  Dont want her to go down the road I did....but I also know from my own experience with her that my kid learns best  the hard way........

That part she gets from her Mama......

Have you ever considered making it a funnish type challenge?  I was one of those in high school that had a fabulous body when I first started putting on weight...it started out as curvy...lol but then I would put on weight except for basketball and track season.  During the summer my godmother used to always decide she needed to diet and challenge her daughter and I to see who could lose what during a certain time frame.  Losers had to go in and buy the winner an outfit or something that they wanted.

Great suggestion Miz D,  anything is worth a try.  I know the prospect of her getting some new outfits  will excite her.   I better start putting aside  my spare change.

She has a true appreciation for spending my money, even though she has her own job.
