o/t - ghetto transactions
Morning all...Ive been home for the past two days waiting on a package from UPS. My sweetie ordered some furniture off line. It was a deal we couldnt pass up. Needless to say....the stuff was supposed to come since Monday....no show....then Tuesday we were assured it would be here...no show again. This morning I got up mad as all heck. I couldnt sleep last night wondering if Ray Ray' & nem was sitting on my dining room table chairs eating fried chicken drowned in hotsauce with a big old piece of buttered down cornbread off a snack tray.
I woke up breathing Miss Sophia style fire and began calling them starting at 7a this morning and I quickly ripped into whoever's behind that answered the phone. I spoke to Tasha, Elaine, DaShawn, Mario, Nick, Jose, John and finally Jackie the manager. Sweet Plum gots no respect yesterday at all.
I broke stuff down to them in proper ghetto fashion cause I swear thats all them suckers understood. I told them Ive been working in a customer service industry for close to 20 years and that I demand to be treated right. I was screaming to the top of my lungs and jumping like I was a monkey in the dayum zoo. And then guess what....at approximately 9:30a...there was a knock on the door . Brown uniform...yellow stripes and my three big packages.

My question is why did I have to go to these extremes....why does anybody have to inorder to get what they want.......what is it about taking a simple transaction and having it take a turn for the worst when it comes to dealing with certain people. I swear Im tired already and aint even been to work yet.
Not to mention the two days that I was home...I was eating up all kinds of stuff trying to soothe my nerves. Im glad I got the stuff so I can go back to preparing my delicous healthy salads and what not. Yesterday it was just easier to munch on crackers all day.
How do you keep your cool with stuff like this ???? How do you stay on your eating plan.....help me to understand the nature of this type of stuff. If you cant then, thanks for listening.

Have u ever worked in the business office in VZ? LOL. I'm kidding. The unfortunate thing is that some people, not all, but SOME, really don't give a shiot about ur business. I find that there is a lot of unprofessionalism these days, sadly.

I was in the business office for 7 yrs of my career at the company. So Ive heard it all. And the one thing I pride myself on is at least knowing how to pacify the customer without lying to them.
I've never been one to lie to a customer just to get them off the phone. So I dont appreciate it being done to me. I was straight up tricked and conned for 48 hours by UPS. I took vacation days and everything. I can never get that time back. I was looking for some sympathy today and I gots none, til I got ugly. By then it was too late.
Good thing Im rocking braids right now. I got the Susan Taylor thing going on. But aint no telling how many gray hairs have popped up on my head in the interim. I want to let it go...but Im afraid Im still mad.
Me and my sweetie had planned on going out to look at pillows for our sofa and a nice area rug along with candles and whatnot to match the stuff we ordered. I tell you folks sure do know how to ruin a good thing. Jumped on the scale this morning and that sucker is up a whole pound. Thats not cute. I want them to pay me for my time and send somebody to rub this body down of the extra calories I consumed yesterday.....

These people in NY are a trip. This probably would have never gone down in country-ville where I used to live.

I know they was like this chick is a lunatic....I had them jumping this morning. I was thinking to myself...no sitting pretty today....you all are gonna earn your checks.

right before i filed my taxes i called my municipality for a print out of my summary. the sista i spoke to said she'd fax it to me (she was pleasant, i was pleasant). 20 minutes turned into 2 hours and when i called her back she'd been through something at lunchtime cuz she said "I ownno whatchu talkin bout i never promised you no fax and futhamore i have NOT spoken to you before!" I said "if we hadn't talked THIS morning i wouldn't know your name Chandra. Eeeee-Awww."
