I participated in my first new patient seminar

But I actually did a 15 minute Q&A session last night for my surgeon's new patient seminar.  I really enjoyed  talking to the indviduals and also hopefully dispelling some of the myths of the surgery and the journey.

I spoke to his office today and I'll get my lil 15-20 mins once a month for at leeast the next 3 months!
I really want to pay this forward and I'm so grateful that my surgeon and his staff asked me to do this (this is the first time they've done it) I'm hoping that this helps me stay straight and also motivate someone to make a decision that will enhance their life.

THAT'S cool - I have been wanting to do something like that but haven't had the time.....

It was cool really enjoyed it and knew that I was looking at me 14 months ago is amazing

FYI: Mack Mama... he gave me the same look I know you'd have thrown me:  How dis bytch get fat??? Well, went from 200MPH to 0. That'll do it!!!

But seriously, ATL Diva did that!  Was nice to meet you... Skinny self.  Damn, when I have my surgery, I can't say skinny women are evil and they must be destroyed!!! Don't mind me, I'm a tad envious...

He did look at you a lil crazy when you said what you didn't eat AND why did he say that you were the first person that questioned him on his age even though he sure thats the first question on everyone's mind when they see him


Thank you again! It was easy when i knew I had someone in the audience a familar face was a stress reliever.....You'll be doing these with me this time next year!

Someone on the GA board said  Dr J was 34.  My moms said I may have offended him calling him Doogie b/c in real life ole boy is... you know... (Hell, the tact filter was on auto pilot and been jamming up lately  ).Hell, IF I'ma let u carve into me like Easter ham, you damn right, I'm need to know how long you've been doing  this.. I didn't outright ask for his age, lol... Hell, I asked Dr. Steinberg how long.  I don't think he heard my young'un remark, cuz I gave one to him too!!

Nah, Dr. ****ad though...  I ain't giving no seminars... leaning to him since I read they have a whole dayum bariatric wing and private rooms (hell, i can't afford that, Aetna gone be like WTF??? LOL)

Girl I do it ALL the time at work and love it! My mom says that its my gift so anytime I can use it I try.

I think he's in his late 30's he wasn't offended at all you see he closed the party with us we was the last two heifahs strolling out and he was just chilling. I don't think u offended him and if  you gonna be cutting on me need to make sure you graduated from high school and ain't stole your daddy's stethescope lmao

Oh the bariatric wing is AWESOME! get your own suite the nurses are bariatric certified the beds are big the gowns are big you get a nice robe AND a water mug lol

It's my calling too, and once over the initial fear... it USED to come SOOOOO naturally to me.  I minored in speech communication.  All my teachers all my life told me medicine was not gonna be my right fit, though I had the drive for it. Said I needed to be a writer, an orator, a actress, a politician (wtf???) or a lawyer.
