I never get into the BAF banter I normally stay consistently out of the drama but want to give a word or two of advice from a "middle child" (not a newbie but not yet hit the 2 year to be a Vet) to my baby siblings.
You are correct you are coming on here to get advice about eating and/or exercise habits. However if you start talking about eating 1/2 gallon of ice cream or even riceat 4 weeks out we gonna jump in your ass. Because 1) its just not the right **** to do and 2) some of the vets have made the mistake and don't want you to make it either.
The tone of these mofos is there and you can't filter it their tone all you can do is filter the message. The further out of this journey the clearer the path gets so if you looking for a night light to help guide you BAF ain't the board cause you gonna get a prison escapee light shining on your ass. Cause ultimatley we all want everyone to be successful.
If you just want to get your feelings out then you may want to try blogging so that your friends can give you the "kid glove" encouragement you need. But if you come to "B town" you getting the real and the raw nothing personal at all its all said in the name of love and if you shape up and be successful and reach your goal (and even if you don't) when a newbie come on the board asking questions like u did you'll be ready to shine that spot light or do like most folks do and *shake their heads and "tsk tsk" at another newbie who's about to get it and not take it for what it is...valuable information and concern.

cookie you know me and I don't come off like that but that's not me so would never do it and most of us gave her good advice but ya know you got them crazy relatives that's gonna tell it how it is and say screw the tact. True indeed someone will come across hard, even folks who dont know u had surgery. Folks get mad just cause you losing weight.
But note what Cookie said about establishing a relationship. She is right. We have that with our relatives, but newbies dont have that up here.
There are folks who think I am a newbie cause I will fade to black in a minute. But I have built rapport with some folks here. Others have not.

You are so right and I do think that the relationship should be there and for me personally it would. But when u come out on a public forum and ask for opinions you're not just asking for opinions from folks u have a realtionship (such as in your blog or a BL message to your friends) you're asking for responses from strangers and as my boss say when you do this
