If that is truly the case, IMO she is jumping the gun and has given several conflicting statements of desire and needs to figure out what she truly wants and WHY.   

True he probably changed in some ways - but she has the feeling he's the same ole G at the heart of it - they were REALLY tight friends back in the day - truth be told, she got a lil miffed about the whole marriage thing - long story - but he married a chick looked JUST like her when she refused his proposal - then discovered she wasn't like her at all - then he was unhappy
True story...This old dude told me years ago "baby, I'mma tell you everything you need to know about men"  I said "what's that Don?"  He said "we're cowards" He goes on to relay the story of how he chose a chick he wasn't in love with over a chick he wasn't ready for and was miserable.  Years later he ran into his 1st choice and told her he wanted to marry her but he was scarred she'd have said no.  I say all that to say, yeah, he may have been unhappy, but he made hi***** ass choice and it wasn't you.  PERIOD.

Notice the emphasis on HER.  Where's his head and how could she possibly know this in the initial hello stage?  She got the story written even though he don't even know he's in it and she's working off of old case notes.  people change, she needs to learn who he is all over again before she goes writting him a screenplay

And it's really more about the emotional connection - you know how they say that a emotional relationship can be more damaging than a physical one?  she's had some emotional ties in the past with a dude - and it was a MAJOR issue in the relationship she was in at the time.....

OMG...Trina, I never realized our similarities til QT did that lil breakdown..the overanalyzation...SO ME. already 5 miles down the road in my head when i aint even got on the on ramp yet!

If there's nothing to it, then why not tell the SO and get his response. If she places herself in a position of suspicion, she may desire a plutonic relationship.
