OT: Playing with fire????

Aiight yall - let's get some off topic discussion goin.....

I have a.... ummm... "friend"  who ummm... let's say..... had WLS about 3.5 years ago and lost, I dunno about 200 or so lbs.... so she's feeling good and loving life right about now.

she recently joined once of those sites where you can network, I 'think' it's called Facebook, yea - that's it - and she has found a lot of old friends and folk she used to know back in high school days, but fell off with them as her weight picked up and she became more embarassed because of it.......

Well - she went searching and found one of her old flames - her first flame, actually.  A dude she was TIGHT with for YEARS in HS and college, but things fell apart a bit and she swore off communication with him (he didn't do anything bad to her, she was just moving on in a different space).  Sooooo - she found him, sent a message and he replied - now she's wondering if she's playing with fire - he ALWAYS loved her, was the one person that NEVER judged her and always supported her - saw her through some rough moments, in fact.  He got married but started trying to come to her when it wasn't working out - that's why she bailed.

she doesn't know what his status is as of right now - but temptation COULD be lurking - so - should she run again?  Keep the convo only on the net or jump and see what comes up?

"She" thanks you in advance for your replies.....

Child, I gets 'em in where I can!  LOL

If "she" is single and wanting to mingle, tell her to go for it!

But, if you're NOT single and you're being drawn like a moth to the flame, LEAVE IT ALONE!

Er... uhm... I mean, tell HER to LEAVE IT ALONE!

Uuuummmm not enough info MM.  Is SHE currently single? and if not...do you think she would be willing to give up the current flame for Something New?

Hold on - lemme ask her.....

Umm - she's not 'technically' single..... but not 'technically' totally taken..... ummm - what had happened was........

Not that she would want to really be with ole boy - they tried that way back - it ain't work out and for reasons she doesn't wanna totally get into - it will NEVER be what she wants....

BUT - hanging with him would/could probs with the current mofo......

Well....I say theres no harm in talking if she keeps at the forefront of her mind that SHEs taken and HE was not and probably is STILL not the type of material shes looking for in a man.  Now if SHE thinks that it would be easy for her to be drawn into some MESS...I say leave it alone.

You have already contacted him right?  So you might as well see where it goes.
You control were it goes from here.  You will only let things go as far as YOU want them too.
