OK. so I've established I'm picky and some wondered how I got fat (Mack Mama, lol - I'm still trying to give u a cohesive answer).

I THINK I was told NOT to try new foods or protien drinks until AFTER, as my taste will change.

Am I right?  I'm sorry if it was answered - I didn't ask, I think it was a BTW thing.

Unfortunately, my memory isn't the best due to my fibromyalgia (they call the shyr fibro fog - you know when you forget where you put your keys?  Go through that w/ most things every day).  So, I think I'm gonna have to start saving posts in a Word doc so y'all won't get pizzed @ me and not answer.

Mucho gracias!

ATL, you know that will be my bone of contention - lack of food choices. Hell, I'm bored NOW with my food.  i'm just so scary when it comes to new things. I just don't wanna mess the tool up when it comes time.

I think the only good benefit to fibromyalgia to this tool will be I can't take pain like normal folks.  I will stay away as long as possible...

Loading up on Lonehorn and Olive Garden now...

Right now concentrate on changing whatever bad habits you have now. Like drink more water. Learn to sip because let me tell you that is what you will be doing after surgery. Sipping on water and sf liquids. Start getting in the mindframe of what life after surgery is going to be like. You will have to get your protein in. Your vitamins. And your water. That will be a chore in early weeks but that is the only thing that you will be concentrating on as a newbie. Out of those 3 you can practice getting in 64 ozs of water, you can start taking vitamins regularly if you aren't already. And when you eat your meals try and eat protein first and limit the carbs.

That being said....I personally went on a food binge before surgery afraid I would never see the food again.  LOL. So I am just telling you what my surgeon told me. I wish you the best.

You have been so sweet to me since day one, but consistently gives it to me straight.  Thanks!

Yes, with these dayum adipex, I'm having to up water, but I'm not where I need to be. Hell, hated water, but 3 weeks w/o Cokes tomorrow and as time goes on, I grab the water before the Crystal light lemonade or Hawaiin Punch lite.

gotta work on the sipping, b/c if I'm thirsty, I guzzle a bit, sip, guzzle.

And dammit, if mom always told me to chew my food! I try to work on it, but I need to pay more attention while I eating to chew and eat slower.

the goal is to work to 64oz - that's what I told myself today and go up from there.

Many thanks!
