Hi Theresa.  I am going to miss the overtime but let me point out that I am happy to still have my job. I was working 5 days at 9hours per day.  Now I will get 40 hours working 12 hours one day and get the remaining 28 hours in 3 days.

I used to have every Monday off.  I loved 10/40's.  Now I work 9/80's and have every other Friday off.  Fridays are ok but ain't nothing like starting your work week on a Tuesday.  Besides, I don't do anything on Fridays anyway.

I am looking forward to having a four day work week.  I now have to make sure that I do not spend any money on the extra day off.  Thank God I just finished paying for my truck this month!  I need to stay in the house on my day off and start on my small diy projects that I have had money set aside for awhile.

Faith our company did this last year when gas went up and people started calling in sick  because gas was a mofo,..LOL
N.E. way I did Mondays and I loved them for those very reasons. And not only that all the doctors are in and you can generally get things done better because it is Monday. you have rested over the weekend so its another day. Now after the first 90 days we had to switch and what I found was working those 10 hour days M-T by Friday I was mentally drained so I would get my son off to school and get back in bed by the time I got going after exercising it was well into the afternoon. Fridays are fine when you have not worked 40 hours in 4 days.

But that is just me!!

Hey Steph!  I am happy that gas is down and I have a few bills paid off.  So, I will be okay.  I am going to miss my extras like going to Houston or NOLA shopping and ladies night out.  However, I will be making adjustments in my spending because so many people who are laid off wish they had a 40 hour job so on that note thank you Jesus and I won't complain.
