okay, since my Grammar Police post tanked, i'll ask

What Are U Doing Right Now? Other than reading posts on OH. You doin other stuff online? Watchin TV? Makin booty calls?

picture this: you're online reading either a blog or a post on a message board and you read something filled with spelling errors or something that's grammatically incorrect. or you read stuff that just don't make too much sense. maybe people type in ALL CAPS.....maybe they never capitalize the first word in their sentences (like me).

here's my question: do you correct the author or let it slide & keep it moving?

PM them. But not in front of everyone.

Personally, I'm sneaking @ work most times and just trying to go fast. Mavis Beacon I'm not. Other times, I'm lazy. But a few times, I like to do a typing dialect.

That's my story, I'm sticking to it.

I have an @$$h*le, therefore I have an opinion. or two... or forty.

I let it slide and keep it moving. If it's too bad, I won't respond because I stop reading the mess. My eyes are already bad, no need in making them worse.

Hey Sam:

I just let it pass, if I can understand what the person is saying. I have long since learned that ONLINE spelling, typos, dropped grammar... now and then have no bearing on a person's intellect. I have always thought that a person who "played" grammar police ONLINE was petty. Now it is different if someone is holding themselves out as a specialist in grammar... or their writing is in a professional forum (I wouldn't want to see OH infor and advice or a doctor who was posting for professional purposes with grammatical errors.) But just regular Bloggers who make errors or purposeful acts of omission (like NO caps or slang talking) on a site is cool with me.

Now the all caps are annoying and I don't even usually read those. Also, Some punctuation is needed, not gonna fight to read run together stuff.

Edit to say: What I'm doing is listening to some sweet jazz, smelling them brownies my Partner just baked for a get together tomorrow and basically feeling real warm and good inside.

Got my girls (wifey included) feelin' some type of way with major matters of the heart on the mind and soul.....then you have ME....feeling a nice buzz listening to some good azz music

now THIS is a woman who's got alot goin on right now. matters of the heart are tricky...logic goes out the window and easy solutions are rarely in plain sight.

but the spirits & the music make things even more interesting.
