I am about 4 weeks post op and am having issues figuring out what to eat, getting in ALL of my liquids & protein. I really havent lost as much as i THINK i should have lost by nw considering i have been excercising and eating a little of nothing. I really need to figure out how i can have a nice FULL bowel movement. i have had bowel movements but neither one of them felt like i was emptied or done.

Yesterday i tried a little piece of bread and loe and behold i had an issue with that, it wasnt too bad but i know bread, corn, and broccoli is not my friend right now. i tried a strip of grilled chicken and did not have any issues with it, but i think that may be too heavy right now for me. so i need pointers as to how to get this menu and food planning thing together and soon!

Yesterday i went to da market and bought the baby gerber meals but they do not have a much fiber and/or protein at all in them. I also bought slim fast low carb, i was wondering if this is something i can take since im not really eating anything or losing like i THINK i should be.

I do realize that everyone is different and it will just take time, but i am more concerned about this eating issue because this is how i was BEFORE the surgery. If i am not hungary i won't eat ! plus if i am hungary i will eat and then that will be it for the day. Another thing is i am a picky eater, for starters, i dont do fried foods, never really have TOO much, I dont do fish or seafood (get sick, allergic) sometimes i can eat about 3 or 4 shrimps BEFORE surgery and would not get sick but any after that im sick. I dont do beans, however i have and i have eaten green beans BEFORE surgery.

I have tried chicken (grilled, pureed), broccoli, corn, chili (turckey), mashed potatoes, soup, grilled veggies, fruit smoothies with protein mix and fresh fruit, fresh fruit.

I did not get sick with any of these but by me learning my body now i have noticed broccoli, corn, and i think the chili felt like they were maybe swelling up in my intestines (i guess gas), potatoes was ok at first, they went down pretty good and i have not had issues but i think my taste or something is changing from time to time beacause it doesnt seem as great to me anymore.

My OPINION is that you are not far enough out to be eating all kinds of non protein enriching foods. Good that the chicken works - try canned chicken if cooked chicken is hard to get down, but bread, potatoes and other starches should be a NO NO for as long as you can get away with it.
Have you tried oatmeal? There are kinds out there that have protein, and you can always add protein powder, which will help you get your protein in.
When it comes to veggies - make them a fiberous as you can - corn? no spinach? yes greens? yes beans? yep - but umm - buy air freshener to go with that.... LOL!!!!
Also - have you tried any protein shakes? and what vitamins are you taking??

I have never been able to deal with any of the powder protein shakes - they were all nasty to me. I only deal with RTD (ready to drink) shakes. The ones I use now are by a company named Oh Yeah! I have also loved Labrada Lean Body shakes for years as well. They may seem pricey but they taste pretty dang good and get me to getting in my protein without a problem.
I don't just have issues, I have subscriptions! I'm saving on the newsstand price.......

Let me think..... I ate stuff that I knew were very low in carbs but still gave me good carbs and protein. Here is just a few things that got me through the first couple months.
