OT:ITS FRIDAY & I AINT GOT SH*T 2 DO (fellin a lil Chris Tucker 2day)

Okay this is long. I predicted gentrification round 15 years ago for my hood where some how, some way the pink people would come back and lie, cheat, and steal to take the black peoples property. Not gonna go into that part, but I'm passed fed up with the NO BLACK owned/operated Beauty Supply stores/wharehouses!!! I don't see them in affluent neighborhoods! There on erry corner like a freakn Starbucks!!! One just had its Grand Opening, like 3 miles from me. My daughter wanted to go in and get an employment application. She's a nice looking clean cut young lady (I wouldn't have it any other way). The owner is Asian, 2 of the workers are Mexican. That wharehouse took up 1/2 the block. Needless to say, the owner didn't look my daughter in the face while telling her to come back in a month and "maybe we be hiring." WTF!!! Outta of the 15 Beauty Supply Stores (except the one next to the Muslim Bakery) within a 10 mile radius of me is Asian owned and NO blacks work there AND the only people that shop there are BLACKS!! Oh! My bad! There are some colored folk that work in a few. The ones from India and freshly crossed the border! I shoulda made this a R&R post. Lol! Its a cryn shame. I'm ready to put my money where my mouf is...

Exactly! Of course, Ima need about 15 other black folk (investors) to join me in this here venture. Oh, and one "token" pink person to sit "with us" on the board of directors. Lol! I know I'm not the first one to be thinking it.

I will happily volunteer if you stock Carol's Daughter products and I can get my shiot at wholesale. 

LOL! I will happily keep that in mind.

It's the same in Dallas--they are all Asian owned but I don't think I've ever seen anyone but an Asian working there.  I assume it's family because they are really old or really young--too young to legally work.
 
If it's any consolation when I go in there, they are jumping the counter to let me know they don't sell "white" products.

Hey girlie! I'm good in da hood! Lol! Gotta get my laughs in anyway I can. Lol! Life's a struggle right ($$$ wise) now, but I see the light at the end of the tunnel luckily. Hope you're well. BTW, that was a huge funny azz consolation. Lol!

They're like that everywhere!  And if I go in the store one more time looking for my 1B/27 and she tries to sell me blonde talking about "it yo color" i'm going off!

I'm sure there are a few black owned stores here in Atlanta but I've yet to find one.

My bff had a hair emergency one time (lost her ponytail after a long night--no further explanation will be given)...

We are out of town and she sends me to the "hair" store around the corner.  Tells me the color, drawstring, blah blah blah. 

Then she says  "make sure it looks like the one I had, right color, feel it and make sure they aren't ripping off your white azz with some Barbie doll shiot."

Let's just say that she was back in the store, scarf on her head, cussing someone out for the wrong "it yo color" and it was dollar store Barbie quality.  They also charged me about 2 times more than they should have.

I was never sent on another shopping trip.
