aiight - so we talked about cattiness and all - one of the possible root causes is the 'picture' we may or may not create in our mind about someone based on what we see/hear and/or experience with or about a person.......

Just on the internet - only the cyberworld - how do you go about 'knowing' or understanding someone? What makes you draw a conclusion about the character, personality and substance of someone here? And does that become your permanent impression?

If you are so inclined to presume your calculations are correct - how much or how little direct contact with that person would 'steel' you in your resolved impression of them?

ETA: I was asked for a 'summary breakdown' LOL

so plain a simple - do you really think that just reading the posts and blogs of a mofo on here you know them enough to make a judgement on them as a person?

Well on the internet.. you can only base that on what you read... can it change? Yeah it can, but chances are if they're ALWAYS "messy" on the internet they're like that in person... One or two mishaps don't make a huge impression on me... But if it's all the time.. I tend to stay away!!!

Shoot people can be whoever they wanna be online, I take that with a grain of salt. Now if we meet in person or talk on the phone or even talk on the backlines/facebook/IM (even though its still cyber, just a lil more personal to me) maybe some of your true character will come out. Either it matches perfectly or does not. I've met people on here that are quiet on the board but absolutely delightful in person. You never know.

I agree.. There is no way really judge.. but I tend to stay away from folks who are (what I consider to be) mean spirited...

Yup, totally get it. It's funny though, there was one person on here that I thought was soooo mean spirited. Well we met and became good friends, she still gets on my nerves sometimes LMAO but that's just her.....everyday. Same person. That, I can accept.
