I have a question:
"When Alexander saw the breadth of his domain, he wept for there were no more worlds to conquer." Plutach. Not true, for there are always more worlds to conquer.

Sorry, can't help ya. I'm not in the category of those "some" women who do that stuff, so I have no idea why they do it.
BTW - Regarding the views and no responses (as of yet) that may be why others did not respond. I only responded because of your comment. When I first opened and read it, I exited the post too. JMO

I guess, for example, I know why some guys don't acknowledge their children, though I acknowledge mine.
The question is something that has puzzling to me for a while and while my male friends have theories, I've never asked a woman..until now

Do I detect a little sarcasm in this?

After reading the responses, Ya Ya's answer makes a heck of a lot of sense. She probably should get the BAF gold star for the day! LOL

Also keep in mind that men can squash arguments/disagreements and keep it moving without missing a beat. We women tend to marinate in it, carry it , hold on to it for much longer than we need to. We take things much more personally than men which can, in turn, lead to pettiness and cattiness. This is the reason why I've ways preferred working in an environment that's mostly male.
Good topic, D.
