LOL, girl you gonna stress yourself out before you even get a date.  That's when the real panic begins.
You are doing everything now.  Before I had my surgery I went to 4 different surgeon's seminars.  I say wait until you got a surgeon and submitted the paperwork before you diet.  The weight you lose won't be counted towards the 10%( well at least that is the way Kaiser works).  Giving up those things now are good.  I had to stop smoking and drinking to be in my program.  Well I accomplished the no smoking thing.  Drinking stopped 2 weeks before surgery.  And the soda drinking stopped two days before.
Ok, I'm rambling because of the coffee I'm drinking.  But anyway, you get the point hopefully.  don't do too much at one time.  Just focus on finding a surgeon you are comfortable with and getting your paperwork sent to Aetna.

I am an extremely picky eater. I hate most vegetables, I can't tolerate fish/seafood (I get really sick), I don't care for beef or pork. That limits me quite a bit. What I do like to eat, I just learned to make in a healthy way. I have been experimenting with cooking with different herbs and spices but I haven't really strayed in my tastes. I am still just as picky and I am making this work for me. What I would do if I were you is to make a list of the things you do like to eat and start trying to find ways to make them wls friendly. I bake a lot or use the slow cooker to cook healthy meals, I don't fry foods ever.

that's what the 1st surgeon told me - olive oil if I do pan fry. My homegilr told me to get on good terms w/ Mr. Foreman again..

I'll make it work - can't see losing it all to gain it back. When I was snmall and gained, took for granted I could lose it all.  Obviously not!
I have an @$$h*le, therefore I have an opinion. or two... or forty.

Hi I never liked to eat Veggies, my father is in rehab and there a lot of veggie that he does not want to try.
I've have ate squash, zucchini. have ate the cauliflower and it is good you just have to required at taste for the veggies.  If cooked right steamed and seasoned lightly they are good. Now I need to try asparagus. Thank god I'm not a picky eater good luck with find something that you can eat in the veggie department. How about some Liver sister can't stand it.Now the whole time I've had surgery I've just began drinking water. The water would never go down without giving me a stomach. Don't know why but I finally can drink a little.
