HOW ARE U OR HOW DID U LOSE UR WEIGHT???
OK! I HAVE BEEN READING OTHER BOARDS (RNY,MAIN,POSTOP,SUERGERY IN 30'S) AND I HAVE READ SOOOO MANY PEOPLE HAS LOST ANYWHERE FROM 60-100 POUNDS IN 4 MONTHS! MY QUESTIONS ARE HOW ARE U ALL OR HOW DID U ALL LOSE UR WEIGHT? IS 4 MONTHS REALISTIC? CAN THIS REALLY HAPPEN LIKE THAT. I KNOW I AM SHOCKED AT THE FACT OF THE AMOUNT OF WEIGHT I HAVE ALREADY LOST IN MY 2 WEEK FOLLOWUP SO I REALLY SHOULDNT SAY CAN THIS BE REALISTIC BUT HOW AND/OR WHAT IS EVERYONE DOING TO LOSE THERE WEIGHT?
****1. ARE YOU NOT EATING? IF NOT, Y, IS IT BECAUSE YOU CAN'T, U GET SICK WHEN U DO, NO APPETITE OR JUST DONT.
****2. ARE U EXCERCISING? IF SO, WHAT KIND AND HOW MUCH AND HOW OFTEN? IF, NOT WHAT ARE YOU DOING FOR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY.
****3. HOW LONG DID IT TAKE YOU TO LOSE WHAT YOU HAVE LOST THUS FAR, AND DID YOU STRUGGLE TO LOSE IT?

EACH PERSON IS DIFFERENT!! EACH PERSON LOSES WEIGHT ACCORDING TO THE SIZE THEY WERE PRE-OP. EACH PERSON LOSES WEIGHT ACCORDING TO THEIR DEDICATION (NOT SAYING YOU'RE NOT DEDICATED)!! FOLLOW YOUR DOCTOR'S ORDER; YOU ARE IN THE HONEYMOON PHASE AND THE WEIGHT WILL COME OFF WHEN IT IS SUPPOSED TO. THAT'S IT..END OF STORY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That would be me! I lost 60 lbs in 3 months and 100 in 5. I think it depends on the individual and heir body makeup. I walked ALOT! I was probably walking about 5-7 miles a day 5 days a week.
Of course you're not eating you're living off of less than 500 calories a day for the first few months and your body will either get with the program and burn the fat or begin to rebel and not lose it as qucikly.
It took me 11 months to get to my current weight with no other exercise other than walking about 3-4 miles 5 days a week during my breaks and lunch at work.
Its wild right?

Check out my page - I have a detailed table of my weight loss with dates included. I have lost 200 lbs - but have maintained a steady exercise program and never stray TOO far away from my eating plan - once I get 5 or so lbs outta line - I reign it back in QUICK!
I don't just have issues, I have subscriptions! I'm saving on the newsstand price.......

I'm only 6 weeks post op and I think my body is rebel mode right now. I'm only droping a couple of lbs a week. I lost 30 lbs in my first month. But I need to pick up my water, protein and walk more. I think I'll be able to jump start again. To answer some of your questions.
when I first got out of the hospital I could only eat 2oz at a time. Now I'm up to 4 oz. 5 times a day. Trust me you have to learn to eat all over again.
I have just started walking per dr. orders so now I'm doing about a mile a day but I think I can do more.
Since Jan 7th I have lost 40 lbs....

I am 4 1/2 months post op and I am about 65lbs down. I eat the way my nutrionist and surgeon taught me to eat. I get sick sometimes when I eat but not much, if something doesnt agree with me i put it on my list of foods not to eat and keep moving. I exercise at least 2 times a week.
My surgeon says I am right on schedule and not losing too slow or too fast.

I can't answer that. I knew from the start that there was no way my body would allow me to lost a 100lbs in 4 months. I only had a 100lbs to lose. My body is stubborn and I'm greedier than a mugg. He predicted about 8 lbs a month in loss for me and so far his words have been true since the initial 20 I lost after surgery. I exercise 5days a week and sometimes on Saturday if I'm bored and feeling greedy. I predict to be at my goal by Dec.
I say enjoy your journey. It's very individual and although it's hard not to, don't compare yourself to others. I have mini goals set for me and I hope to accomplish them all. So far I have not been disappointed. I've been aggitated by that damn scale but never disappointed.

I make sure to get in at least a total of one hour and 1/2 exercise a day (except when I'm on my monthly i just can't)
I've lost 124lbs. in 9mos I only weigh on Monday's and Fridays. I get in 50ounces of water a day.
