PEANUT BUTTER AND GRAHAM CRACKERS
Hey ALL
i am now on regular foods but sometimes i feel like i am hungry and have a taste for something, but for the most part it has been a MAD craving for potatoes and broccoli! i really dont have a big taste for anything else. when i was on the pureed faze i had tried a teaspoon of chicken salad pureed and once i had a teaspoon of chili pureed. those foods was ok and i did not have any problems with them, but i did not have a taste for more. but now that i am on regular foods i really dont have a taste for much. i have been eating broccoli and potatoes but for some reason i think my belly is filling up faster and my intestines are blowing u and getting filled with GAS and bowel! I am not getting in as much protein and liquids so i am kind of in a tangle with that! today i am trying peanut butter spread on a graham cracker. i know this was once upon a time when younger considered a little healthy treat, but does anyone know if this is a good idea for me right now? and would it make my bowels swell up in my intestines?....lol i know this may sound a little off the wall but shiiiot i need HELP!!!
FYI.......i dont do fish or anything in the seafood category ( i get sick)
this was before the surgery so im sure it will be the same now.

This early out, graham crackers should be considered a weekly treat at best. Good regular food sources should be things such as chili with or without cheese, refried beans w/ cheese (fat-free sour cream and a little taco sauce perhaps), cheese cubes, deli meat...etc. Don't give into head hunger...that is what you're experiencing.
Brocolli is something that will produce plenty of gas and not easy to digest so early out.

Hi Miz D,
well this is my first time having it and i was trying to find ways to get protein in because i have been getting almost NO protein at all in and plus starting to have a lil trouble getting more water in, i think i am drinking about 2 of the 16.9oz bottles of water a day, from time to time i can get about 3 in a day. I really do need to get other food sources in i have some turkey chili i may try either today or tomorrow. I dont think i am giving in to head hunger at all.......in fact im not even given in to HUNGER ......lol because i am not hungry half the time, and when i do get hungry i have no idea what to eat, so i just find myself drinking water or a sf popsicle.
And as far as the brocolli goes, i think you may be right on the gas thing, so i am gonna lay off of it.
thanx again mizz d! i am definately going to try some of the things you have listed.

At that stage I was living off of refried beans with cheese, cream of wheat, oatmeal, tuna, chicken salad. Mainly though, refried beans because they were quick and easy. How many protein shakes do you drink. At 4month out I get mostly all my protein from them still. I do 10z of water and 2 scoops for 52g and this is spaced out in an hour in the mornings. Then for breakfast I do something carby. For lunch and dinner it's usually chicken and veggies. I am now getting my hunger back but there are still times when I forget to eat. This early I would just focus on getting in my protein shakes and enough water.

this early out I would steer clear of the carbs ......Do you drink or like protein shakes ? i am five years out and still use the shakes as a source of protien.
