They tell me to eat more.....(a little long)
(I have not had the surgery...yet...still trying to get approved) In the last month & 1/2, I've lost almost 14 pounds by limiting my carbs and beefing up the protein. I feel I need some REAL direction from REAL people!
Here's a look at what I've been eating:
Mornings - Protein powder with Soy milk (Lactose intolerant) at least twice a day (to & from work) - sometimes mixed w/Coffee or Chai tea. When I have time, 1/2 cup Kashi cereal w/soy milk.
Lunch/Snacks - low sodium meat, low fat cheese, maybe a cup of fruit or yogurt, cheese stick, high fiber bar, mixed frozen veggies, etc.
Dinner - Meat (w/a little sauce from the maindish that I cooked for the family)
HOWever, while I'm reading the postings, it looks like everyone is eating a LOT MORE than me....and losing BIG time!!! I'm veryyy nervous about eating more because, obviously, I didn't get to 316 ((((errrrr....302.6 now!!)))) not enjoying food.
I tried Weigh****chers numerous times and they always told me to EAT MORE! (I'm 39 WW points - that's hard as hex to fit into one day) If I eat more, I'm going to be back right where I started...and then some! I'm getting really tired of hearing "the bigger you are, the faster you'll lose"....this is not the case w/me - I've been on a "diet since I was 12 - even did Optifast 12 weeks & lost 12 lbs). )
I hate to be so compulsive, but when I get a chocolate attack, I literally count out 12 dark chocolate m&m's and call it a day. I feel I have to count everything right now or I'm going to get out of control again. Trust me tho, I used to be able to "throw down" but my stomach has shrunk so even 1/2 a sandwich is hard for me to get thru these days.
I only drink Crystal Light lemonade, Iced green tea, water, sometimes a diet coke or glass of wine.
I've been walking 1hour a day and swimming indoors at least twice a week, also walk on Elliptical machine, free weights and elastic cords daily.
Can you give me a little help or suggestions??

Who said you need to eat more? Is the dr's office worried that if you drop too much weight you won't get approved? Does this weight loss count towards the 10% most drs want you to lose.
It seems you are on the right track to me if you are trying to lose weight. Sorry I couldn't help more.
Your exercise program seems great.
Keep up the great work!
