which one was the greater villian?  in watching both What's Love Got to Do With It and the Color Purple, it amazes me how neither had any redeeming qualities.  most people got a mixture of good & evil in them.  but these two? pure evil.

which one was worse?

Ike.  Mister got remorseful in the end and tried to make it right.

Ike came with a gun to Tina's concert to TRY to continue to terrorize her.

I agree that Mister was the worst.  His whole attitude toward black women was that they were either property or subserviant to black men.

As for Ike, "being on "dem Nah-Kotic,"" as he would say, was his downfall.

Having been in a relationship with a real life person like the men depicted in these films,  I can tell you that the scars run deep and long - and take years to overcome.....

I would have to answer Mr....only because Ike Turner had a serious substance abuse problem.....and that alone can alter anybody's true personaltiy/temper.

Mr.  from the Color Purple was just plain cold, abusive and selfish.   Thats how my daughter's father was and still is....last we spoke. He wasnt a druggy...he was a serious  ego-maniac.

My best revenge after going thru that  whole nightmare has just been taking better care of myself mind, body and spirit and  being sure to protect my daughter's best interest whenever it came to  him.    He's been absent from her life since her early years and lets just say that works for us.

In life,  and especially on this journey there are sure to be days when you falter and give in.......just remember to never give up.

I would have to give it to Mister because he did more with less.

* He couldn't sing
*He wasn't a sharp dresser
*He didn't have a Caddy
*He didn't have a Perm
*He could not play an instrument
*He hated Warm Lemonade
*He had another chick stay with them
*He could ride a horse.
*He invented the Pimp Slap
*He ****** Beloved, oh wait...wrong movie, but his swag......

 @ He ****** Beloved, oh wait...wrong movie, but his swag......JUICE...U'Z A NUT!

But to answer...I agree, Ike was on dat nar-cot-ic...so his maniacal behavior could be attributed to the drug..but Mister....just pure evil - ol *******!

I choose to love myself, live life to the fullest, and encourage others to liberate themselves!
