Couch to 5K, START OF WEEK 8..... DOES SHE REALLY WANT TO HURT ME ?

This may be an ignorant question but....................how do I start this program? Are you guys at the end of it?  I want "in"

I have a week and a half to go before I am done with the program.  It is 9 weeks long,  I post about it every Mon, Wed, Friday.   There are a couple of people doing it right now that are mid ways done but it's not to late if you want to do it. 

You just download the podcasts and the girl will tell you when to run and when to walk and in 9 weeks you will be up to running a 5K, which is a little over 3 miles.

Run 1 Week a complete BUST!!  I dont know if its was because I am tired or I need that extra day that I usually have but I couldnt make it through the podcast    I am either going to try later on today after I work on my biostats exam for a bit or tomorrow.  But I am not going to quit!  Check back with you later.

April maybe your body is just to tired today,  your body will give you only what it has for any given day so you should try it again tomorrow after you have rested up today.    

I know if i'm tired my body rebels against me trying to tell me that it can't do it but i'm to hard headed to listen,  at least you listened and stopped when your body told you too.  

Take a rest and do it tomorrow morning.

i'm on day 3 week 5.  i think i might skip week 6 depending how this 20 min run goes. my 5k is coming up on may 9th! i want 2 make sure i can do the 5k run w/o any problems. we shall see!

Hi Andrea

The 20 minute run is not very difficult,  the first one is challenging but then it's ok after you do it once.   Keep it up,  you will make your goal.

i just finished 20 min run and it was EASY!!! i felt like i could've gone another 20!!! i was scared so i slowed my pace to 3.5.  so, now, i don't know if i should still skip 2 week 7 or do week 6 and focus on going even faster than what i normally run.

i feel great though!!

this was a great night!!

WOOOO HOOOO

That is great Andrea,   since you already skipped ahead I don't think I would skip again so soon,  if you don't want to do the 3 runs then just do 2 of them that way you still give yourself time to make it without overdoing it to much to fast.   But if you think you can I say go for it.
