24 hours till Surgery/Observations/The Never Ending Post

My surgery had me in the hospital for 11 days. A lot of the time I couldn't sleep and tv, I thought, was my friend. By the time I was ready to go home I wanted to go to Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Chiles, Carl's Jr. and I'm quite sure there were more. They all seem to be advertising something new that I couldn't have. All I can say is that I learned really quick not to just sit and watch tv. Now as soon as I get off work I go straight to the gym and don't leave until around 7. Then by the time I fix dinner, go to Bible study or choir rehearsal. It's time for me to go to bed. My point is stay busy.

I really came to say Congratulations and I'll be praying for you, but reading your post caused me to have a flash back.

Before wls I never paid attention to how many times a day food commercials were on .....but man oh man did I know it during recovery... by the third day I had turned into the puppy with the uncontrolable drooling lol

You'll do great 2 mar.  But that catheter.  I didn't know they inserted a TUBE.  I thought it was just like a condom or something attached to a bag, but there's a tupe that's INSERTED!!  Good thing they do it AFTER you're asleep.  Getting it out was quick but eary.  Okay enough about that.

i've been to the bathroom no less than 37 times today.

i've showered 3 times.

i don't believe that at 11am tomorrow i'll be gettin cut.

You'll do fine.  I wanted to back out too.  I went to work the day before my surgery and it was pure hell.  We had a unit luncheon and it was Mexican food.  Menudo, chimichangas, refried beans, rice the damn works.  What I had was some Milk Muscles and a wish platter.  By the time night came, I didn't even care any longer.  My son and my best friend had Carl's Jr.  And I love them but I knew that in a few hours my life was changing.  It's only a short amount of suffering for a great reward.  Don't back out.

if my skin snaps back on its own, i think i'll become a stripper after i drop a hunnid pounds.

help me come up with a cool stripper name.
