I don't mention it.  Most on there already know I have had it.  I use it for out of state friends and family and all my high school peeps.  I use OH for support for WLS.

I'm addicted to FB also.....
I didn't post anything about my surgery on my page either.....it's none of their business.  I only told a few selective people about my WLS, only because most people are so ignorant to the process and will start giving negative feedback.......like they went to med school....or heard this and that.    I didn't tell anyone that I choose RNY, I just said I had one of them.....LOL  I wont be returning to wor****il April 29th, and I know everyone will be curious.  I don't plan to deny it like Star Jones, and if someone obese ask I will let them know what I did.  Them skinny heffas bet not ask me anything....LOL

Facebook?  What is this FaceBook of what you speak?  Never heard of it.

People from the past, you say?  Well, I wasn't the most popular person in high school (TOO nerdy).. and, with my luck, I'll run into a whole LOT of ex-girlfrends ("You wasn't chiot then...u ain't chiot now... an' where my chil' support at, nukka???")..

So, I"ll pass. LOL

HEY MM,

I am on FB almost 100% of the time.  I'm very addicted.  I've run into so many people from my past and have even healed some relationships.  It's sooo fun to go back down memory lane.  I don't mention my surgery but I have talked about it to some people.  I just don't feel like explaining it to all 300+ people on my friend list.
I was once a mess!!  My mess is now my message!! WLS saves lives!!  I'm living proof!

I don't go out of my way to mention it, but I do mention on one or two of my picture captions. I have always been an open book in regard to WLS so most folks now I had it done.

MAY have put the nail in the coffin? LOL! All we gotta do is throw that first shovel of dirt!

Anyhoo, I'm pretty open about my surgery...and I DON'T edit myself over there...that's what the ignore request function is made for. Even if someone is on your friends list, you can control what they can see (privacy controls) if you wish. I don't really see the point in hiding the fact I had surgery...you seen my fat ass before and you see it not (as) fat now! YES, I had good insurance, and YES, I got sliced. If any "dumb" questions arise, its at least an opportunity to enlighten someone or show a fellow fattie that you don't have to hide/be ashamed of yourself. ****someone HAD to be public about the surgery for all of us to know about it! I just feel that hiding it perpetuates the stigmas associated with being fat/surgery.

I stay on FB! Plus the ppl I talk to here are over there..so less need to wade thru the ppl whose faces/stupidity I'd rather not even SEE. Plus Fb has the hide function so even tho I'm friends with someone, I don't have to see every time they fart and post it.

I don't mention it on FB because I have mentioned it EVERYWHERE else lol. FB is  a lot of my HS folks and I'm only about 20 lbs less than I was when I was in high school but I still LOOK good and young lol. They tell me I look great I say thank you and keep it moving. If someone ask then I would tell tehm through email but never on my wall because its unspoken info for most.

Not usually but I am happy I just turned 22, I am paying for my own surgery and program fee whatever insurance wont cover, I am buying a condo and dont need mommy for too much. I should be proud and I am going to pay for my breast implants when I get them done after Surgery!
