Stinky Pee-pee?

That title caught your attention didn't it?

OK - so I've finally had enough courage to ask. Does anyone urine smell funny after WLS?

When I take my B50 vitamin and use the bathroom.....I smell vitamins. Or when I dilute apple juice and use the bathroom..................I smell apple juice.

Please tell me I'm not the only one????

I haven't noticed any change in smell, but hell I'm 3+ years out.  I do know that  the B vitamins make it very bright...that's nornal.

I don't know babygirl, but I can tell you a month from now.

Are you getting enough water? On the days when I'm lacking, mine's is extra strong and yellow.  I try to drink at least 100oz H2O/day to help flush out my kidneys and keep my urine clear.

That has nothing to do with WLS.   B vitamins are water soluble vitamins which are metabolized by the kidneys.  Therefore they are excreted in your urine.  Also other drugs and foods can be smelled in the urine.  Have you ever taken any kind of antibiotics like Penicillin before WLS and not  noticed the smell of your urine.  Better yet eaten Sugar Smacks cereal when you were a kid or older and not noticed it smelled just like it.

Certain multi-vitamins will turn your urine a bright florescent yellow and make it smell wierd too. I wouldn't be concerned about it.

Also are you getting enough water?
