hey Wonka  fellow lightweight ova here!  everyone has that "breaking point" when they decided that wls was for them.  for us lightweights, it came a bit earlier.  i had no co-morbids, but i felt like a 70+ year old woman 'cause i had no energy to do ANYTHING!  my knees hurt, my self esteem hurt, and depression hurts!

like everyone else i'm going to chime in and say "***** em".  this is YOUR life and YOUR journey!  YOU had to do what was best for YOU!  keep doing your thang gurl.

Hi Juanita,

Since when in the hell did being at or near 300 pounds become a lightweight?  WTF?!  If you want to have WLS it is your damn prerogative.  If everyone spent 6 months minding their own business and the remaining 6 months to leave other people's business alone this world would be a much better place.  SMDH!

get outta my head J.

i was 204 on surgery day.  9lbs or 90, it takes the same effort.   my favorite response to the whys is:  at some point or another you either were or passed my weight.

Wait a minunte Wonka...am I reading right.....people are sending you emails  questioning your choices for YOU

Did you call them and ask them to pay your rent,  feed your child,  deposit money into so & so account........get your cable upgraded.........I mean  really,  where do people come off  ???

Folks truly  need to learn boundaries and respect.....( shaking my wigged up head )

Forgive the fools,  for they werent taught better.......but their parents now thats a different story....them  folks  need their  behinds kicked for not whooping the fools tails when they were  young'uns..........

In life,  and especially on this journey there are sure to be days when you falter and give in.......just remember to never give up.

WHOOOSAHHH Juanita.

Girl just let it roll off of ya.  Its nobody's business besides yours and your Dr's why you decided to have surgery.  You don't need to explain anything to anyone.  Now granted my fat azz would be happy just getting to where you started, but that just means you are smarter than me and opted to get help sooner.

Luv ya girlie and if you need to vent you know my phone is always on.

I was also labeled a "lightweight" On the day of surgery I weighed 250 lbs and on my 4'11 (now 4'10") frame my bmi was 50. Although I had no major health problems, I knew they were coming if I didn't get my weight under control.

If GOD brings you to it, HE will bring you through it!

My daughter and I heard that statement at the hospital after surgery. We surprise they let you guys have surgery you ain't that big. I had health issues and my daughter was on her way. Why can't we just want to be healthy? There is a nut that works at Walmart, she asked me if I was sick? I told her no, then she goes and ask my daughter so I can hear her if I lost weight cause I was sick and did I have cancer. I was about ready to tell my daughter to get my purse with the bail money cause I was going to jail. I turned around and in a very loud voice asked, "Why I got to be sick why can't I lose weight to be healthy?" That wasn't enough two days later she ask my son if I was sick?  I'm thinking about having a T-shirt made that says I'm healthy are U?
