Post-ops have you try certain foods just to see if you will dump on sugars or fats.  I have read countless post about people dumping but always wrote to seem like it was unintentional.  Please tell the truth I want to know if I am going crazy but I been thinking about trying fat or sugar to see if I dump.  I am not going to try it but it has been on my mind.

TRUTHFULLY I stuck to my doctors plan for the first six months and NEVER strayed away from his plan. One thing you have to realize not EVERYONE dumps. Also, realize what you cannot eat now you most likely will eventually be able to eat again.

If you HAVE to have something sweet try low cal and sugar free items in MODERATION. Enjoy your first year of your weight falling off with little or no effort it want ALWAYS be that easy.

Thanks Mrs Rhonda

The food thoughts have been in my mind lately.  I am going to eat nice chicken wrap and fruit salads for desert later.  I have not and will try my best not to stray away from nut and dr orders.

Ditto to Rhonda - I never purposefully tried stuff to dump - I added foods back into my diet as I went along like my doc said - and when it happened, I took the offending food OFF my damn list.....

I never strayed never not on purpose I was 1 1/2 years out. Dumpingor   not, but I went out like a light and didn't realize it was a kind of dumping. It was on a supposed to be low sugar protein drink. I never have try it just to see if I would
When I was PG I  the whole 9 months both times so  the thought of it make me stay away from sugar now. I'm reading a lot of labels still.
PS Still measure a lot of the food I eat got sick eating out this weekend at A Luby's on a child plate  fish sauce or what was on the broccoli.
Slept for 2 hours and felt like a BIG MACK TRUCK hit me when I go up.

I won't lie.  I have had foods that I knew I shouldn't have had, and they sure did prove me right....BIG TIME.

So, I learned my lesson and did the straight and narrow.

As time passes, you will be able to tolerate a wider variety of foods and yes, dumping may occur.  You can even dump on healthy things.  HB eggs and I have an on again/off again relationship.  Some people don't dump at all, but just stick to the plan and you will reap the rewards.

I stuck to the diet to the letter for well over a year and a half because my goal to be thin and get to my goal was stronger than my craving.   But years later I would try stuff but I waited till I got to my goal to try stuff.

That was my downfall....testing the waters waaaaaay too soon.  I think I waited till 6 months out to go trying stuff I shouldn't have.  The bad part is finding out you don't dump.  That makes you try other things and it becomes a snowball effect.

I never tried to dump. I stuck to my diet for  a year. I have eaten things that I shouldn't have after  the first year. Didn't want to dump. I didn't I wish that had now. It would be easier.
