Has anyone NOT lost hair after WLS???

Hi family!
I had my surgery on March 9, and everyone I have talked to before and after surgery has been trying to get me prepared to lose a bunch of hair in the near future.  It's one of the main things people worry about for me and I'm getting tired of hearing it.  I'm not too concerned about it (although I'd rather keep my 'do if I can), but it would be nice to have something to come back with when they all warn me about hair loss.  I'd love to say "Not everyone loses hair", but I'm not sure if that's true.  Anyway....my question to you is: Has anyone NOT lost a bunch of hair after WLS?

Not everyone.  There have been some lucky ones.  I did not lose hair from the surgery.  If you do, it will grow back.  Its a temp thing.  Most will say, Get your protein in, take your vitamins, some do hair nail vitamins and biotin.

I had a little shedding 4-6 months out but nothing major.  My texture seems to have changed a little....before WLS it was super thick and wouldn't take a perm well, now it's normal and perms just fine.

My hair is shedding now but it's nothing I can't deal with( and hopefully it won't all come out).  I had surgery a couple of years ago and the same thing happened.

Congratulations on your recent surgery!  I had minimal hair loss with the band.  The shedding happened for about 2-3 months and then it stopped  My hair never got thin and there were no bald spots.

I had very short hair when I had my surgery and I stopped getting it cut when it started shedding.  I only got the ends trimmed and it has grown out with no problems.

I'm going to be five months out, I shed naturally a lot before the surgery, Now I shed like a dog and I figure this is a natural shed and the effects from the surgery. I noticed a little thinning in the front but now I try to wear my hair down every day so my hair isn't pulled back all the time.
