Hi Ashley

See...what had happened was......  LOL

I started off good in the beginning of the week, but I've been having a rough couple of days and I kinda took a detour.  SMH

I'm starting back Sunday....at least I'm gonna try REAL hard.  I find it much easier to do this during the week as opposed to the weekends when I'm home and going out drinking and stuff.

So I will join you then....just keep the train warm for me...you know it's gonna get colder ..AGAIN here, this weekend!

LOL Kim girl you are too funny....

i needed to get on the protein train asap cause my crazy butt was eating like a fool gone mad...so so far so good....i just pray i can get through the weekend... i know if i can make it these next 3 days then monday i will be rolling smoothly...but it helps that i will be busy at work today and sat so i wont have to think bout food too much..... and im so proud i got half my water in and most of my vitamins and its not even 12 yet.....

As for this weather girl im getting tired of it being nice for a day or two and then get cold and rainy...whats up with that...

ok also you say that you do a week and go off for a day or two......so when you go off...do you just up the carbs a little more but still stick to the basics or do you just allow yourself whatever you had been craving or what not???

Good job on your progress today.  I suck sooo bad today, I forgot my vitamins AND haven't had any water yet.  I'm going to get some as soon as I finish typing this!  LOL

When I go off, I still try to stick to the basics, I usually only add  one bad carb per day.  For example, I will allow myself to add a small amount of rice or a potato to one meal.  If I know I will be drinking alcohol, I won't add a carb.  I know that's bad, but I can't totally deprive myself.  It only makes me cheat worse when I do that.

I'm trying real hard to do better....thanks for helping me to stay on track!

Let me know how it's going for you, OK

sorry it took so long to respond. my internet at home kept going out so i came to the library... anyhow im glad your doing your water now. i always have the hardest time getting in my last 32 oz...hopefully i can get it down though. i dont think what you do is that bad...when i used to do atkins when i went off for a day iwould eat whatever!! I mean i would literally go crazy lol. adding one thing is very sensible.

i will def keep in touch because i know you are gonna be the one to help me stay focused on this thing lol.

i need to lunch soon and have no idea what to do...maybe a salald wit tuna

Don't get me wrong....I do go overboard at times.  Thus the need to even be riding the PT.  LOL

It's just so hard for me sometimes.  The support from BAF and the accountability helps A LOT!

We can do this!     I'll be sure to check in with you too.

Hey Kim I have a question... how long should you be on the train...month..2month?

Hi dreamgirl!

I wouldn't recommend you stay on it for a month straight.  Reason being....when you deprive your body of certain foods (carbs) for that long, you will crave it even more.  That carb monster will hunt you down...and that's no joke.
I don't know if there are any rules written in stone on this....that's just from my own personal experience.
I  try to stay on for a week, come off for a day or two, then back on.  You can try staying on if it works for you, but you might wanna check with your nutritionist first.

Good luck and please check in and let me know how it works for you.

I wanted to ask you all about salsa. Do you think this would be okay to have while on the protein train? I'm learning to eat eggs and one of the ways I eat them is with cheese and salsa. My weight loss has been really slow since my revision and I don't want it to stop again like my first one did so I'm hoping the protein train will be good for me. Also can you have some kind of cream for your coffee? If so what kind would you recommend? Thanks in advance.
