Can I get some help?
I usually hold it in while I walk or do any kind of exercise and I know that helps but what else can I do that will help get my tummy down without going against orders?
I want to do some situps and crunches so bad but I don't want to hurt myself. I have a one of the big balls (don't know what they're called)and a mat, 3 and 10 lb weights and a stair master. Ladies and Gentlemen your advice pleasse.

I do 500 sit ups a day and let me tell you it is not the sit ups that gets the weight off your belly it is the cardio that burns the fat. The situps are buliding your belly muscles underneath the flab. So if most of your weight is in your mid-section you need to continue with your cardio.
I don't know what to tell you about what your nut told you but I would ask her when I could resume doing sit ups.
Hello Lisa,
I would consult with my surgeon to know if it's ok to add abdominal exercise to your routine.
One of the reason your nut( I find it strange that a nut would be giving medical advise), may have told you not to work your abs could be of possible hernia's.
I was told not to lift anything over 10lbs after surgery, was ok'ed for moderate physical fitness. I was paranoid about hernia's and decided to only walk for fitness, at 11 months post-op I begin to do crunches and with 6 weeks notice a hernia. Good Luck
