Hey BAF.....How's everybody doing..me not so good. I am 4 years out and I have begun to regain my weight back. I started at 315lbs and got down to 172 where i stabilzed for about 2years. My current weight as of 3/27 is 222 and when I saw that at the doctors I was disgusted with myself only becuase just 2 months ago on January 5th I was 207lbs.

I knew that i had gained some weight last year becuase some of my clothes was fitting a little snug but i didnt really worry about it, I made some small changes in my diet and tried walking more often. I can say you know the normal **** like stress, my job, kids, and all the other bull**** that go along in life but i know that my wieght gain is all my fault and I just can not seem to get over this hump to get me back on track.

As of Monday, MArch 30th...I have begun a liquid diet and I hopefully can get try to retrain my mind to eat as though I just came home from surgery.....but this is going to be hard....my hunger seems so unbearable...I just do no know what to do.....Any suggestions any has would be very helpful, I know there are VETERANS out there they can help me or give me some guidance.

Tyshea..This is a never-ending journey and I am riding till the end. 315lbs/172/and back up to 221 in Sept/2009. Anchor Cut Tummy Tuck 8/15/06. I am determined to get down to my  goal 150lbs. http://www.picturetrail.com/photos/tysheaswls

I am a "veteran" but just not for RNY.  Go back to the basics and you should be fine.  Don't be a stranger to the boards.  Obesity Help it is a give and take.  Have a great day.

Hey there!!!  Looks like you see the problem - I am about 4 years out myself - and you gotta STAY on the grind - letting it get away from you lets the pounds creep up.

Lemme ask a question - why is walking the only thing you do for exercise?  Not knoocking the walking - it's all good - but you need something a lil more agressive, if you can manage it.  Get into a gym or start using some things at home for some resistance exercises - when you increase your muscle tone, you look better and burn more calories even at rest.

As for diet - get back to putting protein first.  I am willing to bet that you have been sucking down carbs like there's no tomorrow.  After you come off the liquids - make sure you plan your meals each week and each day - don't get caught having to 'grab' something - that's when you are more prone to mistakes.  Target 60g of protein a day and 60oz of water to start - and see how hungry you end up - you'd be surprised.

And don't be a stranger!!!  Accountability and resources are KEY!!!  We are here for you girl - keep us updated!!!!

I don't just have issues, I have subscriptions!  I'm saving on the newsstand price.......

In life,  and especially on this journey there are sure to be days when you falter and give in.......just remember to never give up.
