Hello All,

I wanted to know for those of you who had to have their pouch dilated, because you couldn't keep any food down, did you have trouble with losing weight afterwards? How were things for you once you had the dilation? This is for RNY patients..

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Hello Sharon,

Please do not self dx yourself. Perhaps it was something that you ate that didn't agree with you. You'll drive yourself crazy thinking about the "what ifs".

Hey Juanita,

I am not self Dignosing, I asked the question because that is what the Dr. said. Have just a little faith in me  I do nothing half ****ed, trust me when I tell you I research everything that has to deal with my health.  I posted the question because I never heard what the Dr told me before, so I wanted to know from others if they experienced it.

Sorry, but when I spoke to you I was under the impression that you were suffering from dsyphagia....

Do you mean to refer to an esophageal stricture? This would make sense since the esophagus is what's usually intentionally dilated.

Did he try Carafate or have you to increase your Prevacid? I tried that after surgery and found great relief.
