I got your message and will respond a little later when I have a little more time to write.  Yes, this is actually what I am thinking about doing my doctoral dissertation on....Critical Media Literacy and the Disparity of Media Coverage based on race and other factors.  I mean sometimes I want to stomp my feet.  All missing children deserve that much needed exposure.  I am not going to begrudge any child but it was really disheartening to see how much media exposure Caylee Anthony recieved...her name literally became a household name...and yet in that same time frame there were quite a few minority children reported missing via amber alert...and they recieved none. I know that a lot of it has to do with the circle of influence, money...marketability etc... but its still a darn shame in my view.
