BAF what say you???
True....the monetary aspect benefits both you and the child but having both parents in the child's life is far more valuable.
Sidenote: One could easily jump to the conclusion that if he doesn't care about paying, that he doesn't care about having that relationship. He would have to be consistent in the child's life.

As a mom I would consider all of the factors. Why arent you paying child support? Do you have no means to support yourself? If you don't then does that mean you are bouncing from one spot to another? Because then I wouldn't want him to take my baby to an unstable environment that I wasn't sure she was going to be cared for properly. If you just not paying because you are lazy and don't feel like it then I wouldn't take it out on the child. Although I would hope that lazy attitude wouldn't rub off on my child.

Oh to answer your question NO whether you receive child support or not shouldn't have ANYTHING to do with the realtionship of a child to their parent. My case was quite so out of the norm I received child support FAITHFULLY for 18 years and my son's father did not come around UNTIL my son was out of high school and in college.
Naw - no need to hurt the kid.... but I would evil eye his azz everytime he showed up for pick up and drop off!!! LOL
