Why do folks ask questions they obviously already know the answers to and when they DO get responses they don't like, spit at the responses?

MM asked a question and I answered it. I didn't realize when I was typing that I wasn't answering it correctly or that the post wasn't intended for me. When she made that clear then I left her post and didn't come back.
For the record it wasn't my intention to come off like I was lecturing or anything like that. I was just giving my perspective. She gave hers. That was the end of it as far as I was concerned.
