I get my whey protein from walmart and it's been working out great so far.  Well initially it was 26g protein per serving with 105 calories or 52g protein with 210 calories.  I went to the store yesterday and now the calories have increased by 30 calories for one scoop and 60 calories for 2 scoops.  What the heck?  Does anyone else use the body fortress protein and have you noticed the change in calories?

Hi Apple,

I buy my products from Vitamin Outlet but I'm hitting a stall right now......I hate the smell of my current protein products. What is the body fortress protein? What does it taste like? I need to get back on my protein........help a sister out!

Hey Talisha,

Body Fortress is a whey protein powder mix I get at walmart for less than $15 it can last up to 2weeks to a month depending on how many scoops you use a day.  The taste is okay...I liked it better before surgery but one of the things I did like about it is it was low in calories, carbs, and fat while getting a good deal of protein in a serving.  I have to mix mine with diet cocoa (25 calories) or the sugar free syrups (zero everything) with great flavors like caramel and kahlua.

Oh and if you don't learn anything else from this board, please know that getting in your protein in number one.  It is so important and I pray you find something that you like or can tolerate to get that protein in.  I actually get hungry if I skip on protein and also weak.  It helps us heal faster as well.  I think there are some protein shake recipes floating around here.  Nate sent me some awhile ago and when I get home to my own pc, I'll send it to you on the bl

Diet Cocoa? Never heard of it. I need more ideas because I haven't had any powdered protein in 2 weeks which is probably why I'm stalling out.

I use them as well but don't like the taste of it alone.

With the Vanilla, I use it as creamer in my coffee or Chai Tea.

With the Chocolate, I blend it with ice and a banana or Peanut Butter....good stuff!

Body Fortress is my favorite protein!

It mixes EASILY and has a nice smooth taste.

I purchased a bunch of it in December and I haven't ran out yet, so I'm unsure of the cal count. But it could be twice that, I would still purchase it.

Oh and I just went and carefully reviewed the nutritional value and they have increased the grams of protein....1 serving(scoop):33 grams, 130 calories; 2 servings:66 grams protein, 270 calories.  So, I guess I can live with that.

The Diet cocoa is made by Swiss Miss or something like that.  I started using there sugar free cocoa but figured I could knock some of the calories off by just doing the diet cocoa.  I too sometimes put my vanilla in my tea... I guess we just gotta keep experimenting to find what we like.

But if the strawberry is good I will buy I still have over half a tub of the strawberry isopure, but taste nothing like strawberry.
