NOT SURE IF I MADE THE RIGHT DECISION???!!!!

WELL, I AM OFFICIALLY ONE MONTH POST OP TODAY...YA ME,RIGHT? NO. TODAY I HAD A PROTEIN SHAKE FOR BREAKFAST,CHICKEN SALAD AND MULTIGRAIN CRACKERS FOR LUNCH,AND CRAW FISH,BOILED POTATOES,AND A TURKEY NECK FOR DINNER. WHY AM I NOT DUMPING MY BRAINS OUT!!!? DID I WASTE MY TIME HAVING THIS SURGERY IF I CAN EAT ANYTHING I WANT? I MEAN,I DIDN'T EAT ALL OF THE DINNER, I A COUPLE OF BITES OF THE TURKEY NECK THE TOP OF THE POTATO BUT I ATE A POUND OF CRAW FISH!!!
 I REFUSE TO WEIGH MYSELF AND ALTHOUGH MY CLOTHES FIT LOOSE,I DON'T FEEL NOR DO I SEE THAT I'VE LOST ANY WEIGHT.HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS PROBLEM/ I'M REALLY DISCOURAGED RIGHT NOW

CALM DOWN GIRLFRIEND YOU DIDNT DUMB BECAUSE YOU REALLY DIDNT EAT ANYTHING REALLY BAD ON THAT LIST THAT IS WHY....NOT REALLY ANY SUGAR.....NOT REALLY ANY FATTY FOODS THAT IS WHY YOU DIDNT' DUMP! CRAWFISH IS SMALL THEREFORE YOU CAN GET MORE OF THEM IN AND IT IS NOT REALLY FILLING NOW THE CRACKERS THAT IS A SHOCK SO EARLY OUT BUT IF YOU DIDNT GET THAT MUCH IN THEN YOU ARE OK HOWEVER, THAT IS ALOT OF FOOD FOR ONE MONTH I WAS JUST ABOUT TO EAT SOFT FOODS AT THAT STAGE AND A LITTLE WENDY'S CHILI WAS ENOUGH FOR ME AT THAT STAGE SO TAKE YOUR TIME WITH THE EATING THAT'S ALOT OF FOOD PUMP YOUR BREAKS!

maybe i was tripping,i just dont understand why im able to eat anything i've put in my mouth so far. i know its too early for the crackers but i just tried it out and it went down well. there only  1.5g of fat with no sugar,low sodium,etc.

Im over 2 years out and have dumped once.  Everyone does not dump sweetie.  I can eat all the sweets in the world and still dont dump.

I've only had 2 dumping experiences since surgery.  Some people just don't dump.  The only thing that I can not tolerate is a lot of sugarfree stuff and milk.  Are you just trying to see how much you can eat, or if you are a dumper.  I'm confused.
If you are released to eat, then there is no problem with what you are eating.  If you aren't, well then you already know what to do, so just do it.  How much is a pound of crawfish, aren't they small and not a whole lot of meat.  I never had them so I am just assuming they are like shrimp.  I can eat a good amount of shrimp on one of my good days.
Seeing weight loss takes some time.  we are so used to looking at ourselves in the mirror, we just don't notice it.  Even when the scale is moving.  What I do is take pictures.  When I think my clothes are getting loose, I take a picture to see if I can see the difference.  Even now, when I get to a new size, I still see the old me.  Give yourself a break.  You just had major surgery and compound that with food restrictions, thats a lot to deal with.  You're doing fine.

yeah crawfish afe a little smaller than shrimp,at least the ones i had. i was released to eat shrimp,crabmeat,chicken,stuff like that. the cracker i just tried to see how that would go and it went well.i walk but not as much as i'm supposed too. gotta get into that.....

Congrats on your surgery.

At one month you really shouldn't even b hungry but you need to be careful so that you don't mess up.  You might want to measure your food and eat only that even if you want more. You shouldn't even be doing the crackers w the chicken salad.  Have you been walking? That is a must, you gotta work your tool girl. For some people they don't have to do much but others must work harder to see results.

i know i shouldnt be real hungry,but i am.thats why i'm like,is this thing working??? i get nauseated and my tummy starts to hurt and i fell like im going to all over the place,then i'll eat something and feel better.....i dont get it.

Hey Meekie, I'm only 9 days out....still on soft foods but for some reason yesterday I was hungry all day.  Usually 2 spoons of food have me filled to the brinks but yesterday I could eat 3 or maybe more..... I stopped @ 3, but didn't fill the full sensation.  I just started sipping my water after 30mins and I was fine. I asked my NUT and she said that you are hungrier when you're not getting in your protien.  How much protien are you getting in??  She said we need atleast 60g per day.  You really didn't eat that much.  A lb of crawfish is only about 3oz if that, 2 or 3 tails equal 1 large shrimp so that was fine.   Keep your head up, your going to be fine!!
