oh no its coming back!!!
Hi Giovanni! Well...I had started to gain back also. I am 4.5 years out. I came to grips with the fact that i really did not want my WLS and all that I went through to be for nothing. The thing that helped me was to start to track my intake. I log in all my food and activity using the tools on www.fitday.com It helped me to see exactly what I was eating. I quickly realized that the mindless snacking was out of control and that my activity level was basically zelch!...a perfect recipe for weight gain. I also went back to my doctors office and had a shopping spree buying up all the protein products, vitamin etc... that I could manage. It was actually good to go back there because I was able to see some of the people that was sitting in the waiting area that I did 4.5 years ago...wanting to either start the process or praying for approvals. In addition to fitday...I also joined a team on the 50 million pound challenge. Its very motivating to see others losing the weight together...daily tallys help to keep me focused. The most important thing of all was to realize why I was eating... I had got back in the habit of eating for pleasure and coping. Food should only be used for nourishment. I had to find other things to deal with whatever feelings I might be trying to cope with....For example, I realized that outside of my kids activities and all of my volunteer service...i really did not have a social life...one that I could have a little fun "for me". I joined some social networking groups and started to go out, attend events etc...
I also purchased myself an MP3 player to help myself with the exercise. One thing that I noticed is that my body does not feel the pain nearly as much because I am focused on the tunes. The gym is also not as nearly as intimidating as it used to be...no longer are they infested with people with perfect bodies (made me feel horrible) but there are a lot of overweight people out here that are now really trying to lose weight and get healthy.
The way I see it...I spent the first half of my life as an obese person. l have promised myself that I would not let another birthday go by without making a concerted effort to get to goal. Now.. .can you think of something similar to help motivate you?
I really hope that some of this help. I will be praying that things get in control soon...I feel your pain. Take it easy. Nice to meet you. Lisa

I cut my 'teeth' on fitday - have you seen www.mydailyplate.com ? I like it more than fitday because it's got all the fast foods and the store bought foods in there.
I don't just have issues, I have subscriptions! I'm saving on the newsstand price.......
