I remember one time this lady stopped me at the grocery store for moeny she had her two grands with her and they were hungry. I told her that I didn't have cash but would be happy to go back in the store and pick up soe stuff for them for dinner and breakfast. I went back in and told the kids they could get whatever they want and I knew they weren't hustling because they went right to the deli one got soe egg rolls and the other got some wings. I bought the grandmother soething and then some lunch meat bread, cereal and milk.

I was suppose to go out to dinner that night and I decided to donate my money that night to her and considered the money I gave her as my dinner money.

That was wonderful!!! I know you were blessed many times over because of your compassion. Something similar happened to me...and I remember feeling good all day that I was able to help someone out.  

I can count on 1 hand the times I have given change to folks that are begging on the street.  I will either offer to buy them a sandwich before I will give money.  I don't want my money being used for drugs point blank.  There are shelters and I do a lot of community service in them. I also refer people to shelters if they are in my area.
