Hey BAF, this lady lost 125lbs. in 9months WITHOUT surgery.  What are your thoughts on this?

Do you think she really did it without surgery?

Can a person actually follow a book and loose that much?

If you had to loose weight all over again would you use this method or do WLS again?

Would you try this if you came to a plateau or to reach goal?

i applaud her success.  thats a hell of an accomplishment...especially without surgery.

hopefully she keeps if off.  alotta people can tell stories of great losses...but those stories are usually followed by great gains.

i wish her the best.

Without even clicking on the link my answers.

What are your thoughts on this?  I was a WHIMP didn't have the will power to lose the weight on my own. I give ^5 to ANYONE who can do it on their own WITHOUT surgery.

Do you think she really did it without surgery?  I know a couple of people who lost 100 pounds WITHOUT surgery.

Can a person actually follow a book and loose that much? The same thing with WLS IF you make a lifestyle change the weight will come off.

If you had to loose weight all over again would you use this method or do WLS again? AGAIN I was a wimp couldn't do it.

Would you try this if you came to a plateau or to reach goal? Gotta read the link now. BUT must add UNTIL you do a LIFESTYLE change your weight will forever creep up and down.

edited to add: As time goes by you will start eating more and more if you don't implement good eating habits AND exercise your WEIGHT will come back. I have gained back about 20 pounds the ONLY reason it is not more is because  I CONSTANTLY weigh myself and back away from eating bad when my clothes become tighter.

I soooooooooooo wish that I could have lost weight without the surgery, wish I had the discpline.   Before surgery I tried the Atkins and South Beach and other diet books and just couldn't keep up with it.  I don't think I would try that Smash Diet, I would be too scared (I am scared to make a drastic change, think I might get real sick or something, but that's just me, probably more a mind thing) because for like the first 4 weeks you have to eat nothing but fruits and vegs.....no protein.

My ADD is flaring up so I didn't read the link, but for me, I needed help.  To loose the amount that I wanted, needed too loose was just too daunting to do alone with no intervention.  It would have taken me forever and I would have had to be 100% compliant 100% of the time and I knew I couldn't do that.  Honestly being 200 lbs overweight, I don't see any way around getting cut, but I applaud folks who can though, I think that's awesome. I'll read it later and possibly bookmark it for when my "honeymoon" is over.

Yep, I can believe she did it using the book.  I don't think I would be disciplined enough to follow it though.  At this point, I need to try something!

I think it's great she lost the weight..... I think it can be done, most definitely...

If I had to do it again, I would definitely have WLS again!! I needed it, and thank God for it!!

I recently said i was going to do the fat smash or ww because I'm beginning to plateau again after about a 3 week loss.... we'll see.... great post!
