This is my first post -op Easter dinner. I want to be able to eat as well and not feel too guilty. I was thinking about doing a stuffed fish this year, of course we have to have a ham (i want glaze it or not to much) maybe some asparagus and greens . I may get stoned if I don't have mac and cheese . My family is a serious when it comes to food (how i got so fat)  I can't substitute to much they rather I just don't serve it...LOL What Are You Cooking ?

Hey there!

I am not cooking but, I sure am eating and last year I cooked but, I refuse to be easy on holidays.  I will not replace anything everything is full flavor full fat and full on.  OK OK OK well, I eat in moderation.

All served family style where everyone fixed their own plates.  This way no one ever notices how much I don't eat.

I made

glazed ham with pineapples cherries and cloves
baked mac and cheese
collard greens
cheese cake
rice and bean

This year my sister is cooking and I already made it known cook what you will but if there ain't no pork I am gonna tighter than a fresh weave......needless to say she promised me a ham.

I hadn't thought that far ahead.  I don't cook the great big holiday meals anymore and my family has adjusted just fine.   They love seafood so I'll probably steam some king crab legs and make a couple of side dishes to go with it.
