WLS vets: help me understand the honeymoon
Honestly, no matter what you do you will pretty much lose the first year with very little effort. The REAL WORK comes when you are about 18 months or more out. The key to keeping the weight off is LIFE STYLE CHANGE.
If you continually watch what you eat AND exercise you will become a successful WLS patient. NO you will not continually average the same weight loss every month. Some months you will probably lose more OR less or nothing at all. Your appetite will eventually come back and when it does as long as you get rid of those cravings with HEALTHY FOOD and not junk you will do fine.
I am almost 7 years post-op and can eat ANYTHING. Yes I have gain some weight, although I do exercise at least 5 days a week, I also have to watch what I put in my mouth.
