People do have choices about the posts they read.  While yes this site is about WLS...its also about all the changes it puts you though. I sure hope that young lady does not feel attacked based on this post alone.  If you are reading this Dear....don't take it personal..

Ya'll...we really should not forget that we have some folks on this site (lurkers and non lurkers) that have serious self esteem issues.... I mean do we really want to take a chance of losing one of our own because of what they might view as a personal attack... Sometimes its the last straw that takes people out of here.  Constructive criticism is one thing but degrading comments serve no real purpose.  Thats all I am saying.

I sure wish you were around when they tried to tear my self esteem apart on this board.  But like its called "self" esteem....An individual or individuals can only do to you what you allow them to do.  And that is why I am still here... 

Yes and I am glad you are still here; however, not everyone had the same resililience as you... Based on your own personal experience that you just recounted...I would think that you would be more sensitive.  Lets move on...

On another note I would hate to think that someone would really take this board like this to heart like that where they would go kill themself because of something as minor as lets say red hair color pics being posted...I have more faith in folks than that

Well Ro Ro, If you worked for 20 years in the mental health system...I think you would have a better ideas of what I am talking about.....why chance it by making downright degrading comments about another person.... Have you not been looking at the new lately...people have enough problems....you never know what might be the last thing to set someone off.  Now in this particular case, I was not meaning that someone is going to go out and hurt themselves. or someone else..but perhaps she might not want to post on here again for fear of being attacked.  I can appreciate you for wanting to defend your friend but in all fairness....I think she realizes now that it was not the right thing to do.... Thanks for trying to assist but I stand by all my comments. Have a good evening.

Now that I reread my last comment..perhaps "downright degrading" was too strong a phrase...but the comments were "divisive"...now I am going to let this alone and move on... Take care all.

Oh so now I get it you are a "trained professional" ... all I am saying is until I hear that a mofo took a bullet to the head because of something that they read on BAF, I (RO RO) will keep more faith in my folks. I mean afterall we as a people have way more shiot to deal with besides this BAF bullshiot! I refuse to believe (like you put it out there) that something being said on BAF would be the straw to break!!
