Hey Yall

Ok this is my day off from running.  This morning I got up did a hour of high energy plyometrics which kicked my azz, and then I felt this overwhelming need to freaking do this run.    So what did I do, I got up and did my run for a half hour.

What the hell is happening to me, I don't like running why did I HAVE to run, I felt like if I didn't run I would bust or something.   LOL.

My knees can't take my head trying to turn into a dam runner.

I just ran the Pasadena Inaugual Half Marathon this past Sunday (without any training for the last 5 months) and I realize how much I miss running.  The only thing is trying to get out of bed while it is cold.  So hard to do.
Without struggle, there is no progress.

Good for you girl that is great.   Even with training I couldn't run a half marathon.   My knees would come unattatched from my body find a gun and shoot my azz.

Lee,

You could train for a 1/2 marathon.  I did ... all by myself.  You just have to take it slow and be consistent.  That way you build up your stamina.

Go to a bookstore and get any book by Jeff Galloway.  He has his running store and has ran over a 100 marathons.

I'm cool with the ones online, if anything when i'm done with this 5K deal i'll continue with the couch to 10K.   I may pick up that book for my trip because I will be on a plan for a million hours and will need stuff to read.

Thanks for the suggestion

Hi Sboyd1

If you want to be a runner why can't you?  I know why I can't cause it hurts but for some dam reason my body wanted it badly today so I did it.   Me wanting to run is the weirdest thing I have ever experienced

Girl I can walk 100 miles!! And I know how to guage my breathing with walking, but for some reason I can't get it together with the running.... I'll run/jog for a few minutes then walk.... my heart rate elevates so quickly.... I've not given up.... and I can run my butt off on that elliptical machine (no impact).... maybe after a few more pounds off, I'll be able to run successfully.... I ran last week for a second or two.... not to worry, I have a plan.... (I always have a plan; ok, more like a scheme.... I'll keep you posted.)
